Hi all, Can I join in?
Was previously second resident on my daughters switch and now have my very own switch and island. Currently 3 stars and looking for some friendly people to allow me to have a wander around their islands looking for inspiration.

It generally means that a dialog is open (people talking or having their inventory open for example). When lots of people are visiting an island there's lots of that kind of thing going on. You need to keep trying and eventually you'll get a moment when it's all quiet and you can get a connection.
