Thanks everyone. I’ve got 9 villagers and another one due shortly. Have a bridge and an incline- was holding off on more as want to change layout and think you have to pay to move it / get it demolished. Will look at what items we can get and fencing

@Bucks2015 buying the DIYs from the Nook ATM and building them and placing them on your island - eg the silo, basic well - google suggests you need 25 items placed
Fencing too

Has anyone got any good tips to get to three stars? Roughly how long does it take to build up? Weeds are gone, I know I’ve got to tidy up the various items strewn by my daughter and need to get some more furniture. Are there any items that make a bigger impact? We’re on two stars right now.

In my first week playing somehow I got a Statue of Liberty. It may have dropped from a balloon I can't remember. It still shows up in my list as a not for sale item. Being new to the game at the time I didn't see what the point of it was so I sold it thinking I need stuff for my house not this!
