I got this for Christmas and I’m in love. Is there a thread/community etc I could join?

I’m usually an AIBU inhabitant so this is a bit new...

Oops missed the reward from the seagull. I did speak to him a few times but he didnt say much so didn't perservere. And now he's gone. Oops.

So when you press x and show your pocket you can put into storage.

Close pockets and when in your house press right button on left joycon - that will open your storage and you can pop it back in your pockets if you fancy.

To access your storage when you are in your house you press the right arrow on the left joycon .

No, you can access the storage anytime you’re in your house. You can just move items back to your pocket.

Thank you! Also when I go into my little house it says I have an option to ‘store’ things but how do I get them back or are they gone forever?

I don’t understand how to add friends and there’s a washed up sea gull on my beach! Only apples here!
To add friends, when you're on the homepage of the Switch, click the circle in the top left of the screen. There should be an option to "Add Friend" or something similar, then "Add via Friend Code". Then type in the numbers, there's some codes upthread.

The washed up seagull is called Gulliver, talk to him repeatedly until he wakes up then dig up all five of his communicator parts (they look like clams, squirting water up through the sand), bring them back to him and you'll get a reward in the post tomorrow.

My DD is the main player but I’ve added myself in as a second villager and split the play cons so we have a play con each. I can see that I can catch fish etc and save them to my inventory but I can’t donate anything to the museum? Is that correct?

I started playing in May after umming and arring whether it would be too childish!!
It’s been amazing for my mental health last year and I’m totally in love with it! Not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed that I’ve racked up nearly 1000 hours on it!!
If I can help/give advice at all I’m more than happy to :)

Though was made even more excited that final fantasy 8 was on Nintendo online 😍

@RememberSelfCompassion you need to water your flowers or you need rain or snow. Getting visitors to water your flowers also helps
