A lovely friend sent me an invite to the EX raid. Over 20 of us were there so we split into groups. Nobody got a shiny Mewtwo, unfortunately but one got a Hundo. Jammy get. Mine was rubbish but, unusually for me, I didn't mince it, 'cos it's Mewtwo innit.

Then me, another bloke and lovely friend went for a wander and stopped outside a bookshop and I got to explain the plot of The Handmaid's Tale very briefly.

The bloke said "men wouldn't do that, would they?"
Me "Every killing of a woman depicted in the book is based on the real life killing of women by religious zealots throughout history."
Bloke. "I don't read history books"
Me. "It's science fiction, set years in the future. It's brilliant."
Bloke. "Sounds scary."
Me. "It's fucking terrifying, it should be required reading for GCSE."

We then went and trioed a Klink before we all went our separate ways. A good day really.

@bittercup tell me about it, i was at a kids party on the last community day which ran at the exact same time 😡😡 and this time I'm making the cake for my own daughters birthday party and I really can't afford to lose a few hours, but I think I'm going to have to make the excuse that I need to go and collect the party balloons at 11am 😂

I purify the good stuff (obviously) and rattatas. Rattatas only cost 1,000 stardust so seem to be the cheapest option.

I had a lucky trade with Mr40x! Surprisingly I had a Pokémon he wanted. Then I could just order one from him. Grin
What Pokémon do you want?
Presumably with weather-boost?!
What move-set would you like? (and he TM'd it for me)
If only all trades were so easy!

For anyone who is new to the thread, Mr40x is a player who is level 40 many times over. Many, many, many times. Enough to have an international ranking. So he's pretty good at PoGo.

No idea about the shadow Pokemon. All the ones I catch are rubbish. Purified a few, but it’s a bit of a waste of stardust.

What's everyone doing with shadow pokemon...? I kinda resent the amount of stardust to purify then when they are often not very strong and not ones I want. But then...medals...

Yes they are, the shiny has been released for the safari event in Taipei so they’ll be boosted for a few days.

Oh my, I just found this post purely by accident and now I have so much reading back to do 😆
I read a lot of MN but never usually post. And I play a ludicrous amount of Pokémon. I just didn’t realise the two would come together 😱 which is silly because a lot of my friends who play are mums who started playing with their kids and still play even though their kids have long since given up (as has mine 😐). I also met my partner playing Pokemon.
Look forward to hopefully joining in! 👋

@feesh I think we can do it! I have good access to gifts so will keep sending them, don’t worry about returning.

I haven’t noticed a change in spawn points but I can’t usually get anything from my house anyway.

Hope the recent hatches from my Sri Lanka gift eggs came in useful for long distance trades! I only managed to arrange one trade - Torkoal (Sri Lanka) for Heracross (Peru) which was 17k

@nachofries if you already have the field research task, you’ll be fine as Rafals has said it’ll stay until you complete or delete it

Does anyone know how long the World Tourist Day tasks last for? I had an Aussie egg and hatched it but was unable to trade because the other person didn’t have enough stardust Easter Sad

Also yes re spawn points! There was 4 outside my house and now 1 will pop up every now and then!!!

Very annoying.

Also my adventure sync trolled me and I thought it was finally working...but no :(

@Blueroses99 I think we are 10 days away, so the 12th will be perfect as long as we remember to send and receive gifts every day!

I’m really sorry I’m so crap with gifts, I rarely get more than 1 or 2 a day :(
