But when the game first started it was literally just catching mons and the odd gym battle. They’ve introduced so much more since then, you can gain XP much more easily.

It is much easier to level up now. I set up accounts for my two youngest DCs around September and they’re both already level 30 odd. It took me around 18 months to get to to that!

Mona, DS is level 21 with fairly intermittent play too! It's raids that have helped him fly, plus the wider range of Pokémon so he's still getting lots of dex entry bonuses.

I set DD up with a new account a couple of weeks ago, and with intermittent play she is already at level 21... I'm sure that took me months!!

Mind you, I'm in awe of the people who got to level 40 before friend bonuses were a thing... I think I'd still be in the early 30s if it weren't for coordinating eggs!

@Soubriquet we are due to go ultra on our next transaction... Can we coordinegg please?!

DS1 is full of a cold and was feeling very sorry for himself today, but he got his first Palkia in a raid followed by a shiny meltan from the box so it turned out to be a good day. We used to play together on my account but recently he's wanted his own and we set it up a couple of weeks ago.

I got a shiny shinx yesterday so it's been a shiny couple of days here.
