@katmunchkin ... I'm shirking at home today 😳

It's similar to gym battles but the shields are different ..

My usual approach to battles has been to use the selected pokemon and just stick at it until each Pokemon dies but my DS is now home from uni and keeps telling me I need to learn types and swap out to the right one depending on what I am battling...

Far too complicated!!

@putthehamsterbackinitscage No I'm sat at work and someone came over so I had to lock my phone!! I don't have a clue how to do the battles though - I thought they'd be the same as a normal gym battle but I could barely do anything??

I posted the screenshot on my local PoGo WhatsApp group and they're all laughing at me - in a nice way. They're in the town. I'm in the satellite village across the river so definitely the poor relation. I'm seeing all kinds of things being posted including a shiny Delibird. Yuk. I prefer the normal one!

Thanks wailmer knew there was an event but hadn't realised there'd be new ones, but sussed what it was. Tried an incense but that was a waste of time - Mr Mime, Jynx and a shuppet!

All the “local” Pokemon are coming up as silhouettes, which is unheard of recently, as I’ve caught nearly all of the ones that just pop up.

Bimblepops The Holiday event started at 9pm.

The following new species of Pokemon are here:
• Skorupi (evolves into Drapion - found in the wild)
• Finneon (evolves into Lumineon - found in the wild)
• Bronzor (evolves into Bronzong - found in the wild)
• Snover (evolves into Abomasnow - found in the wild)
• Croagunk (evolves into Toxicroak)

New babies in 7km eggs:
• Mantyke
• Munchlax

New shinies:
• Azurill
• Delibird

New legendary in raids:
• Heatran

Active bonuses at the moment are Double Catch/Transfer Candy until 22nd December and the free single use incubator once a day from a PokeStop until 2nd January.

I’ve got an odd situation where I’m in central London, so surrounded by Pokestops but the people I’m with don’t know about P-Go and will think I’m a nut-job if I tell them...

Sorry / I missed a battle request earlier. Am in the pub with friends and they all think I’m insane, as I occasionally slope off and P-go.

Something very weird seems to be happening now though - all my local Pokemon seem to be brand new ones...
