And I got a shiny Rosalea in the 300s.

BaronessBomburst When determining a Pokemon’s worth and how good it is, CP is largely irrelevant.

How good a Pokemon is depends on their IV, not their CP. CP only relates to the level they are, and that can be changed, whereas IV is ingrained, determined at catch and cannot be changed (unless traded, but you can’t get it back then anyway).

Agghhhh!
Did what I've always dreaded but so far avoided. Transferred a Tropius I'd just been traded when I meant to assess it. At least it's registered in the Pokedex but but that's all. So stupid and so frustrating.

But more positively I did well with my Gengars and Pinsirs and collected a few new shinys.

Caught 2 shiny Pinsar, they’re everywhere in London! Not so many in Glasgow but I had 10 spawn in Euston.

The short stay apartment I’m in is on top of a Pokestop but I guess most places in Zone 1 are!

There is an event in Taiwan this weekend and that's why the shiny pinsirs were released, I think.

I’ve caught over 15 Pinsirs so far including 2 shinies. Is there an event they forgot to tell us about? The majority have been crap though on appraisal. My two shinies are crap also but I’m keeping them!

We couldn't take the Gengar raid boss. We still tried, wiping out two battle possies each, and I was down to fighting with 1000 cp Xatus. Oh well.
However DS caught a shiny Pinsir worth 2247, which more than made up for it.

I hate Rosaleas.

Im rural-ish so my local gym hardly ever gets taken. Which is why I have a 10cp Minun in there on a pretty permanent basis.

Tallullah DP has done that with a solrock, it's been in there nearly 3 weeks! It's a place we go for a class so I might go with them after half term and kick it out (we're different teams because me telling him to 'pick red' was apparently too cryptic. Just shows how much I say that goes over his head unquestioned!)

I caught a shiny Snubbull today, so that was nice.
Great tip re renaming for gyms pickachew, I'm gonna do that.

I rename pokemon for putting in gyms either ".. Pinsir" or ".. insir" depending on whether I want to revive or transfer it, once it returns to me, then keep my pokemon sorted by A-Z. That way, I rarely end up putting something in a gym that I wanted to attack with.
