First time post on here but I’ve been lurking for a while
I downloaded the game when it first came out however have only actively been playing for around the last 9 months

Can I be friends with people? I love Pokemon Go but it's my guilty little secret! My friends all laughed at me for being into it after the initial hype so no interest from them in playing with me!

I've got 5 Alolan eggs in incubators at the moment. I don't want to open the 6 gifts I have until i've got egg space free. There's a Solrock about 10 minutes away on my nearby but stuck in with kids eating tea.

gifts seem to be very common and there doesn't seem to be a limit on how many you can send however there IS a limit to how many you can open yourself per day (seems to be 20) and also possibly a limit of 5 in your bag at any one time.

I've noticed that the special eggs have the town on so take back my earlier common as location is on there.
You can see what location you are sending to which person before you send it off so if you're worried about a particular pokestop then could just send those ones to people you know well. Don't send all the office ones to your boss etc Wink

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on thread yet but you can change your trainer code. The little refresh symbol in the bottom right of the screen allows this. It changes the code and means the old one will no longer work, your friend list is not affected though.

Also I see the same names in gyms and on raids so I know most of the active user names in my town and a few in person just from chatting if we're both at a gym etc.
Again completely understand if people want to play solo but everyone I've met has been lovely so far.

Whattodo how do you see which small town though? I've received some gifts and it just says Christ Church or whatever and I cant click and see the location so unless you recognise the landmark e.g. I got a gift from UCLH hospital - then I can't work out where it is exactly.
Obviously each to their own with this. I'm just checking if I'm missing something.

I tried to solo a Machamp raid today. I very nearly had him but I knew it was a gamble as I don't really have enough strong ones against machamp. I managed a level 3 raid solo before but I think that was gengar.

I just got a pogo plus. Loving it so far. It means my head isn't constantly buried in my phone and my kids are much happier!

If u understand it correctly it's sharing the location of the pokestop you got the gift from. Not where you are now. So as long as you don't send the gift whilst stood at the pokestop it's not your real life location?

TangelasVine Yes that’s true, but if you live in a remote location or even a small town and you send from there, you could be easily recognisable so I think it’s important people know that.

With the trading distance badge is it the distance that the pokemon is from? I've got some Relicanth so hopeful that it is!

I believe so, yeah. It’s where you caught the Pokémon from to where you trade it Smile
