According to our local FB group, the Zapdos already released is actually the shiny version so who know what we'll get on Zapdos day

Whattodo there was speculation amongst our group and on London Discord and when I tried to investigate further, I found similar comments from worldwide on reddit etc, so no, not just our local group.
Without any confirmation from niantic, you could never be sure, but what it does mean for future days like this is that the majority of ex gyms will be triggered if the turnout is anything like we had last Saturday!
I do wonder though if niantic will change it because it does rather take the pressure off trying to raid ex gyms the rest of the week. Grin

Not bad for an antisocial solo player who rarely does raids, and then only if I know I won't be spotted Grin

I have finally hatched an Alolan Vulpix!

I’ve hatched 68 Alolan eggs, and my first Vulpix was my 65th egg hatch Shock Long time to wait, but so worth it because it’s aodrable.

My Alolan Egg Stats

Rattata: 19 (28%)
Meowth: 14 (21%)
Sandshrew: 20 (29%)
Grimer: 14 (21%)
Vulpix: 1 (1%)

Total: 68

I too am sorry for not sending out more gifts. I’m the fighting feline. I will as soon as I spin more stops! I live in the middle of nowhere so getting out to do them is a bit of a mission.

I hatched about five Miltank during the peak of gen 2 - I had no idea they were so rare!

Got a Wynaut today from an egg which is a new dex entry for me.

I've only got 2 Militank. One from an egg ages ago and one that was hanging around in Soho!

Also don’t think I was playing back when they were in eggs - I was a very casual player who’d play for a week every few months! I’ve been playing most days since December, started again when waiting for a train at London Euston and there were Pokemon spawning everywhere!

I found and article saying it’s similsr to Porygons - I’ve had multiple Porygons. Angry I guess that’s because they’re still available in eggs.

Yeah, Miltank used to be in 10km eggs, but even then your chance of hatching it was incredibly low at 0.32%.

It’s not exactly Unown, but it is exceptionally rare.

I was very ambitious this week and tried to take down a gym in the main station when waiting for my train. Someone was clearly watching with golden razzberries so I had no chance!

bettytaghetti I never heard or read any speculation of them not counting. I don’t see any reason why those raids wouldn’t count. Was that speculation personal to your raid group?

Is Miltank regional or just very rare?

TakeAChanseyOnMe Miltank is just very, very rare. I have only ever seen the one and that was in May last year.

Is Miltank regional or just very rare? It’s one of the few non regionals/legendaries I don’t have, the other being the evolution of Sunkern.

Thanks Whattodo, but there was a lot of speculation as to whether the articuno raids would actually count since they were a special event. What has been interesting is seeing all the gyms that have been triggered or re-triggered as everyone hit them en masse!

Got my EX Raid pass too. It's on 20th (Friday) so is Saturday turns out to be Zapdos or Moltres Day as predicted, i won't have to miss any of it.

Glad that the articuno raids counted on Saturday!

Since the passes went out today (Tuesday), any raid at the selected ex-raid gym in the last seven days will have counted.

I've had my first pokemon related accident. Was in a park and tripped over a rock and went flying. I'm fine just a bit grazed and bruised. More embarrassing than anything.
First thing DH said when I got home was if it was pokemon related BlushBlush
