MuddlingMackem you can bin ones you don’t like. There is a small bin symbol at the right hand corner of each one. You get another when you spin another pokestop

I went out for half an hour to spin enough pokestops for the first one. Going to be a bit of a slog for some of the others - I'm rubbish at curve balls, how the heck am I supposed to do five in a row!

Interestingly I juste had a poke flee on me. And it still counted towards the "catch 10" total. So it looks like catch 10 actually means TRY to catch 10....

Not at home so will have to wait until the morning to be able to spin. Plenty of vermin to catch and transfer, mind.

Looks like te special mythical tasks are a default for everyone and run parallel with the field tasks you can gather from stops. Good times!

Annoying I can't get out this evening so will have to wait until tomorrow for my tasking.

I love seeing new players get a shiny, they're always so excited. I haven't got a shiny lugia yet, but the RNG has never been with me for shinies... I only have event ones!

I feel similarly about Ex raids actually, I think it's worse to see a player getting their 7th mewtwo on all of their three different accounts rather than a new or casual player getting their first for one raid.

GreenShadow Congrats on your shiny! Of course it pissed them off though. I do several Lugia raids a day and still no shiny, yet we had this new player come along and his second one was a shiny.

Particularly after all the hard work us hardcore and long term players put in last summer where we needed double figures for Lugia as we were all much lower levels and had less counters. It does sting, I’m not gonna lie. But that’s just how the game goes 🤷‍♀️

As for the rural comment, I think that too is just how the game goes. While it’s a shame it’s harder, Pokemon Go is a team game when it comes to legendary raids and there isn’t a lot they can do about that.

However, the data mining from the quests seem to suggest that by completing them you have the chance to catch a legendary in the wild, so all is not lost. That seems much fairer, as you can do it alone and then at least the work is still being put in to get the reward.

Wooo! My first go at a Lugia raid today and got a Shiny first time out!

Really pissed off some of my raid colleagues thought who have several ordinary ones and keep coming back for a shiny.

Going back to What and Soup's comments about Ex-raids, I won't argue that it's fair that only the keen players get a chance at Mewtwo but once again us rural players lose out. I am part of a Facebook local group for my nearest town but live a few miles out. Most of them can just wander in at short notice for a raid, but it's not so easy for me. I met up with them today but it's the first chance I've had all week.

Still I'm happy with my Lugia and am just pleased I got a chance to catch him before the Boss changes next week.
