It could have been Absol ute beginners, but it wasn't.

Our new thread, fellow players. All are welcome.

my guess is that Niantic don't have the Regi group quite ready yet.

WhatToDo no sadly not. I missed the EUROPE event so didn't get one then and round here they only seem to pop up in the middle of the night (according to people on my discord group who use scans)

Managed to get myself a 100% oddish, my first Bagon, and a 90% weather boosted Rayquaza on my lunch break today.

cottonwool125 · 15/03/2018 16:18

I heard rumours it was going to be Latios/Latias, appearing regionally and then switching, like the legendary dogs did.

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 15/03/2018 16:02

Apparently Lugia can already learn Sky Attack. Hmm

Was expecting one of the Regi tbh

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 15/03/2018 15:47

soupforbrains Not come across a Ditto yet? I see them every so often, though thankfully not enough to be infuriating Grin

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 15/03/2018 15:46

Unfortunately so 😒

Wartortle88 · 15/03/2018 15:04

Lugia's back!

PokemonGo #14. Rhydon Time, Rhy-Rhy- Rhydon Time...
soupforbrains · 15/03/2018 10:35

I've completed Gen 1 and 2 apart from some regionals and Ditto. :D

walking Cradlily at the moment.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 15/03/2018 10:28

Yes, my mistake, I read it as all rather than boosted! I’ve got a couple I’ll hatch on the way home so I’ve got my fingers crossed for a Bagon or Beldum Smile

I’ve got two 88% Feebas’ but I want over 90% so will wait before walking. I’m currenrly walking Pineco, as Forretress and Scizor are the only two from Gen II that I don’t have. After that I’ve completed Gen I and Gen II and can focus on walking Gen III Pokemon.

soupforbrains · 15/03/2018 10:22

Wartortle yes that's right it's not exclusively wind mon in eggs it's just a boosted rate.

WhatToDo yeah I know got my best Feebas lined up. not walking it yet though, have decided to wait for a little while see if I can pick up a better Feeb in my last catch as the ones I've got are OK but not great. And yeah I was just talking about my area. obviously it's different dynamics in every community.

I hatched definite event eggs which have had non wind mon in.

Wartortle88 · 15/03/2018 10:13

From what I've seen on the Silph Road reddit, it seems people are still hatching non-wind pokemon from the various eggs so perhaps it's just that wind ones have boosted chances and Mareep could still be possible. I'm fairly sure I got a Corphish from an event egg, though could be wrong.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 15/03/2018 10:07

soupforbrains Make sure you’re walking your best Feebas ie. the Feebas that you want to evolve, as the candies don’t transfer to other Feebas’ Smile

We are he most liked team though. Mystic and Valour tend to argue a lot, and get in each other's nerves/let it bubble over into real life. Whereas Instinct are just generally friendly with everyone.

Everyone in our group gets on as a lot of us have known each other way before Pokemon Go even came out, but the five or six Instinct players that we have are the most competitive and take the game the most seriously.

Usually you wake up in the morning and find one of them has been around the town in the middle of the night and taken all the gyms, but during the day it’s Mystic and Valour.

soupforbrains · 15/03/2018 09:48

There are a fairly equal number of Mystic and Valour in my area but significantly fewer Instinct.

We are he most liked team though. Mystic and Valour tend to argue a lot, and get in each other's nerves/let it bubble over into real life. Whereas Instinct are just generally friendly with everyone. There aren't enough of us to dominate/take over or, like the other teams in our area, fall out with someone and then specifically coordinate to kick only that person out of all gyms. 🙄

It's silly just how seriously some people take it. And also daft how angry people get about others just playing the game. Haha.

Out of curiosity is anyone on here in the Chester area? I'm not but one of my friends is being relocated there by our work and he doesn't want to miss out on PoGo WhatsApp or Discord that maybe exists for the area.

cottonwool125 · 15/03/2018 09:41

Seems to be a fairly even Mystic/Valour/Instinct split in my town too. There are 3 gyms, and normally each one is claimed by a different team at any one time Smile

soupforbrains · 15/03/2018 08:49

Hatched. Feebas this morning. Not the MOST exciting BUT it did bring 32 candy which is nice because I don't have a Milotic yet and that brings me just a few candy away so time to start walking my Feebas I think.

BouleBaker · 15/03/2018 03:11

I’m team Instinct too. We seem to have a good balance in our town, no one team rules the roost.

LBOCS2 · 14/03/2018 22:56

I caught a wild skarmory today, so I could really do without hatching any as well. I've got four 10k eggs in fast incubators so they should be out soon especially if I get caught on any more slow trains.

PikachuHeadgear · 14/03/2018 21:04

If I hatch another Skarmory I'll scream.

Someone put this in our Instinct chat the other day (we haven't been too popular around here recently either Blush).

PokemonGo #14. Rhydon Time, Rhy-Rhy- Rhydon Time...
soupforbrains · 14/03/2018 20:57

Having said that. Right now I only have 4 10ks and they're all in incubators already so the last 4 eggs I've picked up have been 2x2ks and 2x5ks.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 14/03/2018 20:54

I've been picking almost exclusively 10ks though.

soupforbrains Yeah, the drop rate for 10km eggs has been dramatically increased so the majority of eggs people have will be 10kms.

soupforbrains · 14/03/2018 20:52

To be fair I haven't hatched any mareep for a few days. I've been picking almost exclusively 10ks though.

Yesterday I hatched a Skarmory and a dratini and today I hatch 3 Skarmory.

The Skarmory I find really infuriating because they are useless and you can't even use up the candy to evolve them as part of a mass evolve. The Dratini would have been a cause for excitement had we not had the recent community event too.

I find it really annoying because there are some pokes in the 10k eggs that I don't have at all yet.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 14/03/2018 20:49

I've hatched soooo many 10 k eggs lately and all I get a sodding Skarmory or mareep total snoozefest. It's infuriating. Haha.

soupforbrains If you’re hatching Mareep, it’s an old 10km egg from before the windy egg event as they aren’t in the current 10km egg set.

The only Pokemon available in 10km eggs at the moment are Aerodactyl, Dratini, Skarmory, Ralts, Chimecho, Bagon and Beldum.

So any Pokemon from a 10km egg that isn’t on that list is from before the windy egg event Smile

DoctorTwo · 14/03/2018 20:43

Welcome to the threads @soupforbrains, our town is mostly Mystic with some Valor and a few Instinct. We try to fix it so that we all get coin almost every day. By that I mean every team.

My 9x10km eggs hatched: Ralts, Bagon Slakoth, Chimecho, Larvitar, Beldum, Feebas and 2x Skarmory were the result. I remembered the Lucky Egg and including catches I scored 53k XP.

I evolved my shiny Altaria the other day. I'm very proud. Up until the last community day event I hadn't caught or even seen ANY shinies at all. During he event I caught 3 shiny dratini and my shiny swablu. So I now have a shiny Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite and Altaria.

I'm a bit colour-blind so I for one am very glad they've brought in the shiny icon as I was perpetually paranoid that I just couldn't see that things like shuppet or pikachu were shiny and would just transfer them. Especially Shuppet, I can't see that colour difference at all.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 14/03/2018 19:48

Didn't realise Instinct were a minority on here - in my home town we rule the roost!

GreenShadow It’s not just on MN. Worldwide, Instinct are the team with the fewest players, by a very long way.

k2p2k2tog · 14/03/2018 19:47

Still slim pickings on PoGo round these ways. The only new thing I've caught recently was a Beldum. Two days ago I got a shiny Swablu which is awesome.... not so awesome that the day before I'd finally gathered the 400 candy to evolve a regular blue one. Will be a while before I get a shiny Altaria.

Still walking the Carvanha. 9 candy to go to evolve. Would be lovely to see a double candy or half the walking event soon.
