MuddlingMackem Make sure the Feebas you’re walking is the one you want to evolve, as the 20km distance doesn’t translate to other Feebas’ Smile

DoctorTwo · 18/02/2018 16:32

Not a bad day; hatched a shiny Pichu, caught a (10CP) shiny Pooch, caught a Rayquaza and most importantly had a chat about shinies with two six year olds. I am, apparently, the only adult male other than relatives that interact with them, which made me feel a bit strange, but hey, we sat on the kerb and talked rubbish PokemonGo. It was great. :o

I hatched my first Wynaut a few days ago and finished walking my Slackoth for a Slaking. Now walking a Feebas. Got two 10k eggs incubating so hoping for a Feebas and lots of candy, or a Trapinch. Grin

PickAChew · 18/02/2018 00:01

And we have our in house mudkip spawn back, now the events are over :o

PickAChew · 17/02/2018 23:55

This is what became of that lovely mudkip, plus a bit of extra candy.

Thought I'd share

I also hatched mfirst wynaut. I shan't bother evolving the little darling, mind, as there some quite aggressive opposing players around here whose signature is to leave a wobuffet in every gym. I want to smack a wobuffet in the gob every time I see one since the horrific meltdown ds1 had after being bested by a bottomless pit of golden respberries.

PickAChew · 17/02/2018 18:53

I bought a cactus, today and this chap was waiting for me by the bus stop, when I got home :o

The eevee candy has been useful because I was actually running low and growlithe candy is always welcome for my best arcanine, though they've decimated my stash of great balls and ultra balls.

I’ve had a good day, done five Rayquaza raids and finally caught one - 93%! So I don’t mind so much having to wait for it now Grin

Hatched my first Wynaut and caught my first Cacnea too, so my Hoenn dex is up to 84. Also got enough candies to fully evolve ten Pokemon, so when I have the best of each of those my Hoenn dex will be 94.

I see Diglett occasionally, so I never had to walk him. Sandshrew I’ve only seen thirteen.

I’m doing it by region too. Gen I is complete for me, and in Gen II I only have Forretress (walking) and Scizor to go. After that I can fully focus on Gen III Smile

KadabrasSpoon · 17/02/2018 14:43

Wow good Snorlax cottonwool I've never hatched one.
I also remember walking Diglet for ages. My last one for gen 1 was Mankey!

I'm freelance so it varies where I work but am in London for a few days in the coming weeks. Always good for nests and filling up my bag. I should be able to get heaps of balls before the Dratini event

cottonwool125 · 17/02/2018 14:37

Had a successful egg hatching spree today!

I hatched a Corphish and a Pineco from my 5KM eggs, which means I can finally evolve Pineco into Forretress.

Hatched a Snorlax from a 10KM. I went from not having any at all for well over a year, to now having 4! Still, the candies are always useful. My other 10KM gave me a Trapinch, which is a new one for the Pokédex. I'm only on 68 for the Hoenn region, but I've got a few more evolutions to do, so including those, maybe 75-80?

It's interesting to see how much the Pokemon spawns vary in different areas. I'm currently walking Diglett, and have been for nearly 70KM now. They're so rare around where I live! I've also never even seen a shadow of, let alone caught, a Sandshrew.

I'm trying to complete my Pokédex according to region- so, I'm walking what I need for Gen 1 before moving on to 2 and 3. It's tempting to skip a few 'mon sometimes, as I'm so close on others (for example, I only need 14 Larvitar candies to get Tyranitar), but I'm trying to be efficient and patient Grin

KadabrasSpoon · 17/02/2018 14:21

And I've still not got the Rattata gold medal!
A wild Vaporean would be cool. I do like rare wild catches. My single very rubbish 100CP Snorlax was a wild one Grin

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 17/02/2018 14:15

Ahh see I hardly ever see Ratatta! I’ve only ever seen 107 and caught 88.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 17/02/2018 14:13

I suppose your environment more reflects the rarity of them in the game.

I stopped catching them unless they were a good CP; once I had enough candies for future Eeveelutions I didn’t really need too many more.

Since I live in a water area we also see he occasional Vaporeon milling about too, which is good for stardust and candies.

KadabrasSpoon · 17/02/2018 14:09

My eevee caught is 157. Things like Rattata are nearly 3,000!

KadabrasSpoon · 17/02/2018 14:06

Yeah before the weather related spawns started I'd hardly ever see an Eevee. I still pinap them all.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 17/02/2018 13:57

KadabrasSpoon Still, there are no animals in the Pokemon Universe itself bar the occasional bee or wasp, so no Pokemon is “meant” to be a particular animal.

It can look like and resemble one, sure, even have a similar name to one, but it is not meant to “be” one is all I’m saying Smile

And yes I agree about Houndour and Houndoom!

You always need more Eevee candy? Although rare in the games, I see Eevee absolutely everywhere!

KadabrasSpoon · 17/02/2018 13:49

Some are animals though - the Japanese name for Farfetchd contains duck.

Glad for the slightly random inclusion though even though I think Houndoom looks more dog like than Eevee - I always need more Eevee candy!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 17/02/2018 13:39

I never thought Eevee was a dog. I always thought fawn or fox

KadabrasSpoon Eevee isn’t a dog, nor a fawn or fox. It’s just a mammalian quadruped creature.

Since there are no animals in the Pokemon universe, no Pokemon is “meant” to be a type of animal. We may attribute them as looking similar, and they may have been created with a likeness to our own animals, but none of the Pokemon are ”meant” to be any particular type of animal.

They’ll have just needed more Pokemon for the event, so chucked Eevee in due to the four legs Grin

Does triple stardust with selected poke finish tomorrow eve?

tumpymummy Yes, 9pm tomorrow (well, technically today now Grin) the 17th February.

It’s triple stardust on Growlithe, Eevee, Snubbull, Poochyena and Electrike.

tumpymummy · 17/02/2018 01:14

Does triple stardust with selected poke finish tomorrow eve? Have just realised it would be good to go out catching and set a star piece off, so am thinking it will need to be tomorrow morning or early afternoon.

PickAChew · 17/02/2018 00:16

Still no shiny. Went out for a walk with the boys, this afternoon, and ds1 had a massive meltdown so all Pokémon stopped happening.

wartortle · 16/02/2018 17:19

I got a shiny luvdisc too. Bit crippled with a kidney infection today but hoping to get out and try to find a shiny pooch!

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 16/02/2018 15:12

Got my shiny Luvdisc (and now have 650 Luvdisc candy)
Can't find a shiny Poochyena yet.
