Scyther turns into Scizor, not Steelix. Onix turns into Steelix Smile

I now have 3 Zapdos (along with my 3 Articunos, 2 Moltres and 4 Lugia), so I'm doing good!

I haven't got any legendaries yet :( there are loads of raids going on but I'm having to cart the littlies around with me, so I need the car - and lots of the gyms just aren't very accessible by car :( bum. We tried for an articuno a couple of weeks ago with 7, but just ran out of time.

But, I've finally completed Gen1 (apart from the inaccessible regionals) and am well on my way to Gen2.

I also found out recently that a golf course up the road from us is a scyther nest. Which is super annoying as I only need three to get a steelix. Are the general public allowed to wander onto golf courses if they've got a really good reason? I did get married there...

What to do, I don't feel like a saddo, I love it and it gets me out and about walking and de stressing, my kids on the other hand keep asking how am I still playing that game it's soooo sad.
My boys are hard core gamers, I'm more of an evenings and weekends girl I suppose. I'm so happy to find this thread to chat about Pokémon.

I caught an unown but the only kangasksn fled 😭😭. It's ok though as I can go back to the town where they are easily enough.

Btw, I've never seen anyone else at a raid either but do sign into my hubbys account when I take a gym to 'let him' lend me his strongest Pokémon to help defend it lol

Well I have definitely got a lot to learn, how do I get better IVs then? Is it to do with the original CP when caught as some of my high CP pokemon have really poor IV (eeveelutions being the worst)

CPs and IVs have no relation to each other; you can have high CP and poor IV and vice Verda. Your IVs also can never change; they are forever what they are when you catch it.

Good IVs are just chance.

You want high CP, best appraisal. No point with a high CP if it's got a bad appraisal/poor IVs. You can use PokeGenie (an app) to check the IVs; you want high 80s at least Smile

There's a Pikachu event in Japan and they have shiny Pikachu.
