Can someone please explain the new gyms and raids please? I haven't visited a gym before.

Nice shiney new thread and great title. I'm loving the game since the legendary raids started. I've met so many nice people and new people at work. I work in a hospital and have about four gyms around me and Andre of us meet up regularly now st lunchtime for a legendary raid at one of them. I am also part of a group on the line app that you can ask and see where everyone is going and at what time. It's great fun all meeting up and I've never done so many steps on my Fitbit as these last few weeks.

I also live and work in a town with unowns and kangaskan so can now spell europe with my unowns and have loads of kangas. One hopped across my desk today.

I think if you ask for a pokecoin refund Niantic take the coins back even if you've already spent them, someone in my last raid group had -1000 coins!

Apple will refund Pokecoins bought recently if you explain that the purchase was for Premium Raid passes but there was a bug that meant the last ball wouldn't catch the boss.

If you go with the automatic raid line up then it will put Blissey and Chancey in there. That is why I put mine into gyms and didn't revive them when they came home, that way they can't get picked as part of the second team when I don't have the time to deselect them.

True, but they are giving everyone an extra premier ball to catch with to make up for it!

Hi WhatTodo, yes all good so I figured it was well with the stardust and candy. Don't know how I overlooked it before.

Brilliant Ampharos! They're one of the best electrics in the game, too.

You really shouldn't be using Blissey in raid battles. It's great for you because of all its hit points, but their poor attack stat means they do little damage and it means it's a burden on the group.

I went and checked my snorlax who has been languishing away on 1800, realised I had a load of snorlax candy so powered it up, dont know why I never battled it before but it's a pretty useful one now.

Did it have good IVs? Otherwise even with high CP it would be a waste to power it up.

Snorlax are really for defending, not attacking. Also, if you ever do raid battles, never use Snorlax or Blissey; it means others have to carry you along because you'll be in the battle for ages (lots of hit points) but be doing little to no damage.

wartortle Nice! There was one in our town a few days ago but we never ventured up to get it as we already have Dragonites and wild ones are nowhere near as good.

If it was nearer we probably would have gone just to farm it for its candies though

Completely outing myself but never seen a wild one before and was v excited :)

No change in Pokemon here. Snubbulls are everywhere round here, and though rare, I have seen Hitmonlee/chan/top, Lapras and the evee evolutions in the wild before.

I very much doubt they'll have altered their spawn rates; pretty sure it's just random.

I didn't use the gyms up until it changed, my boys did for a bit. It was always strong garados snolax etc and they always hammered my Pokémon. The new gym set up is very enjoyable as there are lots of different types and you have a chance of taking the gym when the motivation is low. My boys are fab if they are with me, they know all the combinations of best and worst combinations and tell me which ones to use.

I had a random vaporeon too, a few days ago.. caught it on DDs phone as she's not been playing long and it was new to her, I've already got a couple of good ones, funny little fish-dogs.
