It looked like a new thread was needed, so here it is, all shiny and pristine.

FreeNiki Oh yes, of course they'll all be removed; they have to be.

But it'll be one by one as they work on each gym, I imagine.

FreeNiki · 20/06/2017 01:35

One of my pokemon has come out of a gym but does not need reviving.

I think they will all be removed.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 20/06/2017 00:35

Yes, PickAChew, all gyms are flat and grey right now.

However if you had a Pokemon in a gym, it's still technically "there" and you can still collect from it for the time being.

PickAChew · 20/06/2017 00:33

Nothing new in sight in my village.

Our regular park gym that never stays put for long is flat, though our Pokemon are still apparently assigned to a gym in York.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 19/06/2017 23:29

As well as new gyms, we've also got more pokestops! Which is awesome, even though our small town has loads already Grin

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 19/06/2017 23:05

Although one of them was a pokestop on my 'refuel pokeballs' walk which means collecting poke balls might not be so easy for me.

Read the update; you'll be able to spin gyms too.

tumpymummy · 19/06/2017 23:00

Oooh 2 new gyms near me. Although one of them was a pokestop on my 'refuel pokeballs' walk which means collecting poke balls might not be so easy for me. Interested to see what the gyms will be like, but blurb out already makes them seem very confusing. And not sure how spoofers are going to be deterred (which is the main problem with the old system).

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 19/06/2017 22:05

Yes, all gyms - new and old - are flat and grey. They're still disabled; can't do anything with them.

DameDeDoubtance · 19/06/2017 22:03

are the new gyms still flat and grey? No change that I can see then, oh well.

DameDeDoubtance · 19/06/2017 22:01

It's awfully flat out there isn't it!

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 19/06/2017 22:01

Ooh yes, 2 extra gyms in the area Grin

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 19/06/2017 21:58

I can see my usual two gyms from home. It's really odd seeing them short and grey, not towering over the neighbourhood!

DameDeDoubtance · 19/06/2017 21:57

Not fair, still grey here!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 19/06/2017 21:44

Yes, just looked, quite a few of our pokestops have turned into gyms!

DameDeDoubtance · 19/06/2017 21:41

Oooooo, my gyms are still grey.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 19/06/2017 21:29

I can see two gyms from my house. One is new and used to be a pokestop.
I think the mons remain in until the next coin collection. Although would be good if they forget and they stay the whole time

DameDeDoubtance · 19/06/2017 21:26

In the US they are reporting that some pokestops have become gyms and vice versa, some are reportingan increase in both!!!!!! Gah, exciting!!!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 19/06/2017 21:14

No worries Smile

Dillite2 · 19/06/2017 21:13

Thanks what I posted before reading the thread. It looks like the new gyms might be really cool. Perhaps I will go back to battling them. Although I will wait for a bit first so that the novelty wears off amongst the kids first.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 19/06/2017 20:56

There's something weird going on with gyms. They are all under construction around here.

Yes, they've disabled them. They're completely reworking how gymming actually works. See link a pp mentioned above: pokemongolive.com/en/post/raids

What time does the event end tomorrow?

9pm. Same time the events always start and end.

Dillite2 · 19/06/2017 20:53

Here you all are! I lost you on my list thingie. There's something weird going on with gyms. They are all under construction around here.

I hatched a 10k larvitar with enough candy to get first evolution.

What time does the event end tomorrow? I wonder if I will have enough time for a mass evolution.

Bimblesalong · 19/06/2017 20:31

Ah bless you - it's good to have a release from a busy life! My close friend and I go on Pokémon safaris together around our city - chat and twirl. Helps us relax after a busy week. Certainly beats needlework as a hobby at times!

cottonwool125 · 19/06/2017 20:20

There's a typhlosion on my nearby list, I'm waiting to pick up DP from pub, do I risk losing my parking space to go and hunt it down?!

PokemonGo · 19/06/2017 19:17

I've got a layover in Changi Airport (Singapore) and have been very excited at the thought of a couple of hours trying to catch a corsola. I know it's unlikely but I've stocked up on lures and incense just in case. However I'm worried that the airport will be a faraday cage and I won't be able to catch anything. 😭😭😭 I've also a layover in Hong Kong in a few weeks so I could theoretically catch a far-fetched too.

I'm off to OZ for work but I'll be there a few weeks so I'm confident I'll get a Kanga....whatever-it's-called.

I'm nearly half way through level 37 but I might give up once I get back. The new gym updates don't look great for single players like myself so I'll have to see what happens. I really enjoy doing gyms. I usually have around ten gyms but they come and go and I have to put a lot of effort into finding and batting or prestiging them -this is what makes the game exciting for me. I was/am hoping the new gym update will mean a lot more gym turnover. It's crazy that some gyms stay the same for literally months on end. I been in a couple of my gyms since last autumn. 🤔 It's great for coins but a bit dull. My local gyms have been stagnant forever and, I suspect, the only movement was caused by the spoofers being banned 😂

Sorry for long post. I've no one else to talk to about Pokémon go, everyone else looks at me with a HmmConfusedface.

Bimblesalong · 19/06/2017 18:29

Gyms are down but my mon still seem to be assigned, with the count down to the next time I can pick up coins still going.
