It looked like a new thread was needed, so here it is, all shiny and pristine.

Thanks but I wasn't expecting to get loads just trying to lure this bloody shadow. It's bothering me for the first time ever I can't send DP out to get it!

Kpo58 · 13/06/2017 23:02

As my DH isn't able to look after DD at the weekend, I need suggestions on where is good for Pokehunting in the London and outer London areas with a still crawling baby.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 13/06/2017 22:55

ProseccoandPizza You should never use incense while you're staying in one place; it's a complete waste.

Here's why:

There’s one key trick with Incense that can make or break your experience with it: Incense spawns 1 Pokemon every 5 minutes while you’re standing still, but Pokemon will spawn every 1 minute or 200 meters when you’re moving.

This means that, yes, popping incense while you’re at home or at work not up to much actually isn’t very helpful – you’ll get at a minimum of a single Pokemon for every 5 minutes – 6 total while the incense is active – but that’s it. If you’ve got a decent pace walking while using incense however you can catch far more and also catch a wider variety as you move through areas with different Pokemon available.

From here: www.vg247.com/2016/08/02/pokemon-go-using-incense-to-catch-more-pokemon-the-right-way/amp/

So you should always use it while on a pokewalk or it's just not worth it.

ProseccoandPizza · 13/06/2017 22:51

Oh god. I've bought two inscense tonight to try and lure a black shadow (like a cat on all fours) to the house. DP is away working, DS (6) is asleep in bed. Grrrrr. It's literally at a pokestop I can see from my bedroom window. So infuriating!

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 13/06/2017 22:30

At least with this event I should get plenty of XP off them.

Why because of this event? They're not affected by it as they're not fire or ice, they're Electric/Steel.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 13/06/2017 22:14

I do live by the sea Pick next door to a poke stop. All the other poke stops seem to get plenty of magnemite but lots of other stuff too. This one gets magnemite and Voltorb and virtually nothing else. Put a lure on it the other day. Still only got magnemite.

I'm sorted for candy, What. At least with this event I should get plenty of XP off them.

LBOCS2 · 13/06/2017 22:08

I didn't mean ghastly. I meant shellder. Obviously.

LBOCS2 · 13/06/2017 22:06

I've had a couple of ghastlys and I've got lots of swinub, a seel and a sneasel on my 'nearby'.

I don't understand why the hog-pig Pokémon is ice though.

And I might finally get my lapras this week. I don't care how much of a Hmm face DH pulls at me, I will be out in my car if a shadow turns up...

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 13/06/2017 21:58

Which Pokemon come under the ice category?

Cloyster, Lapras, Dewgong, Smoochum, Jynx, Swinub, Piloswine, Sneasel, and Delibird.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 13/06/2017 21:55

RafaIsTheKingOfClay you'll be glad of Magnemite candy when they bring out Gen 4, because that's when Magnezone is coming and he's a beast. We always pinap them for that very reason.

Seen lots of vulpix, growlithe and cyndaquill but no charmander which is what I really need!

cottonwool125 · 13/06/2017 21:53

Which Pokemon come under the ice category? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Accidentally just posted this same message on a very serious thread. Highly inappropriate Confused

PickAChew · 13/06/2017 21:50

And it looks like fire in the Northern Hemisphere and Ice down under.

PickAChew · 13/06/2017 21:48

Do you live by the sea, Rafa? We have a few seaside spots that are overrun with Magnemite and Voltorb.

As for the person lacking Abra, I caught 3 waiting in the bus station, this morning, then got home later to find onein my back garden.

I'm liking the triple xp in the new event.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 13/06/2017 21:36

Would anyone like some magnemite? I'm fed up of the things. Still seems to be the only things that spawn in my house.

cottonwool125 · 13/06/2017 21:35

Had a look on the Pokehuntr site (is this cheating?? Grin) and have seen plenty of vulpix and houndour at the local park. Good thing it's a day off tomorrow!

MooseyMoo · 13/06/2017 21:32

Went for a walk to stock up on pokeballs and caught Cyndaquil, Vulpix, Ponyta and Charmander. Saw Sneasel and Growlithe 'Nearby'

Cyndaquil takes a lot of pokeballs to catch

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 13/06/2017 21:16

Got one charmander already and seen another couple. Plenty of vulpix and growlithe around too.

Annoyingly they've locked the gates to the park with the nest in. So I can see them but can't get to them.

Soubriquet · 13/06/2017 21:06

Loving this fire event

I can see lots of cyndaquil, growlithe, charmanders and vulpix.

I've already got my ninetails but I like vulpix

Houndor came up but he ran before I had chance to grab but I'm happy that he's around

cottonwool125 · 13/06/2017 20:43

These xp bonuses are great too. 450xp for catching a pidgey with a standard throw!

cottonwool125 · 13/06/2017 20:42

Popped an incense on while at home and a cyndaquill spawned straight away! There's a growlithe nearby so hopefully that appears shortly! Hoping for a vulpix as I haven't got one of those Grin

RudeDog · 13/06/2017 20:40

It's started - I can see a shadow nearby and I can't go get it - sob!!

LBOCS2 · 13/06/2017 20:39

@MotherTroubles I just had one in my house. Little bugger ran away, but they are around.

CrazedZombie · 13/06/2017 20:38

And Growlithe

CrazedZombie · 13/06/2017 20:37

Lots of Charmander, Cyndaquil, Vulpix and Houndor here.

MotherTroubles · 13/06/2017 20:36

Also went to Dove Castle today. I think it got the most densely packed pokestops I've come across. Anyone got anywhere with even more stops they can recommend? At one point I could spin 5 stops at once!
