Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

So many questions...

Evolved my first Nidoqueen today. Pleased as I hardly see the rabbits.
Just one more Ponyta candy needed - about 2k more!

The gyms keep changing hands around here. Something strange happened today as I was training at the gym which I thought levelled it up? Then it went white and I claimed it. I thought training at your own gym gave it more points and if someone from a rival team was around not sure why they didn't claim it?

I like your ponyta in a field! The swimming pool where DSs have their lessons has a ponyta nest so I've collected enough to evolve a rapidash for the first time. I'm beginning to brew for a lucky egg and mass evolution.

DH is off work so my usual routines have broken down. We did go in to town yesterday so I filled up my bag with balls. Between freezing grey weather and uninspiring spawns I'm not feeling particularly tempted to do much grinding.

My pokemon have been holding steady in their two gyms. It seems the cold grey weather has put people off attacking them!

There are perks to being a rural pokemoner at least on sunny days there are.
Also, finally caught a Snorlax only 235 CP but I don't care.

Have had grimer, chansey and exeggcute in sightings from our house, this week.

Just caught the 2 obligatory Weedles, of course Hmm

53rdAndBird · 25/01/2017 21:07

Thought I'd spotted some exciting new Pokémon tonight, but nope - just a Nidoran giving birth to an Eevee Grin

I have noticed some rarer ones (for this area) around recently though - Vulpixes, Omanytes (only 15 more candies to go now!), Aerodactyls. Before this week I'd only ever seen two Grimers in the wild, but since Monday I've caught another two near my house.

PidgeyfinderGeneral · 25/01/2017 18:33

can't Excellent! Glad it worked out for you. :)

CantstandmLMs · 25/01/2017 11:20

Pidgey thanks for the regional tip. I was caught a beast of a Tauros!!

snitcheryoo · 24/01/2017 20:14

Yes, it seems like potions & revives are scarce but maybe it's just because we're using more. I used to have to lob them to make room but now I've had to wait for a week and watch 'my' gym level up before I can fix my attack team to take it back.
On the Chancey issue- in the end I just kicked its arse 3 times with my hitmonlee then battered through the Vaps. Took three attacks to prestige it up 2k then I popped a Snorlax in. That was 3pm and it's still there so hopefully the little Chancey will hold the door until I get my coins.

piknmixer · 24/01/2017 20:01

The number of revives in particular is way down. I've hit 20 stops today and got two. I'm not battling at the moment so I'm not too bothered. Also ultra balls are becoming more rare.

EatingMyWords · 24/01/2017 19:18

Doctor I went through a phase of getting crappy 5k eggs for weeks, then got 3 10ks in a couple of days! The ones I've hatched have actually been good ones too. So probably just one of those things. I didn't do anything special with incubators.

Dillite- I'm with you on the potions and revives, though I have been bashing the gyms a bit lately. Have to hope I stay in the 5 I'm in until tomorrow, or get lucky with the pokestops.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 24/01/2017 19:05

Actually didn't last an hour haha!

Icouldbeknitting · 24/01/2017 19:04

Abbey They come home when they want their laundry doing have been knocked out, you'll have to either revive them or power them up and then heal them. Alternatively you can pack them straight off to the Professor which is what I do with the placeholder rats and caterpillars and some of the bigger stuff that I have too many of.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 24/01/2017 18:58

Thank you. Do I need to check on them to give potions or do they just come home once beaten up?
Sorry about a year behind on the gym thing!

Dillite2 · 24/01/2017 18:47

What is happening to potions and revives? I hit approximately 30 pokestops today and only have 3 revives and 7 potions!

Dillite2 · 24/01/2017 18:45

You need to go to the shop and click collect now at the top right corner. And then just wait and see how long you remain in there for.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 24/01/2017 18:27

I've finally got my first pokemon in a gym. Happened to be a space at the one at the train station so put vaporean in. Do I need to do anything now? Kinda miss her.

Nearly got enough walking candy to evolve Ponyta

DoctorTwo · 24/01/2017 17:59

I've hatched 5x5km eggs over the past 3 days. 3x Goldeen, a Krabby and an Eevee. Utter bobbins. Since Xmas I've only got 5km eggs. I have a feeling that this is due to me having 6x single use incubators which I was saving for 10km eggs. I'm probably going to just use them on this current crop (crap?) of eggs.

I now have 107 Geodude candies having walked the aggressive looking little fucker 102km. I will power up my Graveler a couple of times before evolving Golem. I am now walking Abra, needing 31 candies to get Alakazam, so that's potentially 93km to walk.

spiderlight · 24/01/2017 16:21

ConfusedConfusedConfused

Seem this is why I don't do gyms and just wander round collecting.

CantstandmLMs · 24/01/2017 14:15

Dillite that's a bit more manageable to prestige and it is a good gym defender with the stamina of a beast so i understand. But I've got no chance with one under 800 and those are what I keep seeing. I now just roll my eyes are keep on going lol. My chancy is around the 800 mark itself. I may power her up but i also want candy for Blissy!

Dillite2 · 24/01/2017 12:06

I'm a Chansey putter inner and I'm not even ashamed. My one is a 1200cp one though.

CantstandmLMs · 24/01/2017 09:34

It's my pet peeve when someone puts a bloomin' Chancey in there!! (When trying to prestige)

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 24/01/2017 06:16

Thank you snitch I think I am doing gyms right then. Just the rival ones around here are too powerful. Will keep looking and training!

snitcheryoo · 24/01/2017 00:53

Abbey Rival gyms are all about having enough strong monsters of the right types to battle with the guys in there. The quicker you beat them the more 'prestige' you take away from the gym and the fewer 'mons can be in the gym.
Training in a friendly gym is slightly different as you are trying to raise the prestige of the gym, you do this by battling the 'mons already there but instead of knocking them out when you win, you up the prestige until a space is made to add another Pokémon, hopefully yours.
When prestiging, keeping the whole of your teams CP BELOW HALF of the defender you are fighting will give you 1,000 prestige increase after each win. A quick way to get one of yours in.

Unless someone puts a >300 Chancey in, trying to prestige that one up with pidgeys, rats and weedles was a lost cause. Think one of my Dc will be going back to knock it of tomorrow if it's still there Smile
