Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

So many questions...

I read it's on until 3rd jan

FrogTime · 01/01/2017 14:47

No hatches yet today here, maybe on the way home from work.
Caught a few charmanders this morning though and on 44 candy, and 46 bulbasaur candy. Need 125 for both, holding out doing the first evolve for the best starter.

When does the event end? Fingers crossed I can make a dent in collecting before it's finished!

QueenLizIII · 01/01/2017 14:21

I will be so hacked off if the event ends with me still needing 25 bulbasaur candies

Starlight2345 · 01/01/2017 14:17

WE actually caught an Ivasur last night which gives me two as had previously evolves a bulbasaur..However only up to about 50 candy...Does anyone know how long these guys are around?

Took a Gym on the way home at 2.30 this morning.. At 3 am it was taken back !!! Been out this morning to reclaim my gym..

QueenLizIII · 01/01/2017 13:59

Hatched a sodding Nidoran ♀

Got to 100 Bulbasaur Candy but my Ivysaur is shit. So need 125.

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 01/01/2017 13:53

Hatches today: Gastly, Venonat, Staryu, pichu (x2), elekid
Yesterday got a chansey. Just when I had walked my chansey to 46 candies!

DameDeDoubtance · 01/01/2017 12:28

ihatched - the gps has been awful for me too. Plus I end up in a completely different place on the map to where i am, so I can be standing next to a pokestop but not able to access it as I am supposedly on the other side of town.

Zebra - your Charizard is gorgeous, are you going to name her, maybe Charleene?

I'll try some incense later, it doesn't normally do much but if it attracts startermon to me it's worth a crack.

My 10 k egg is at 7.3, gps drift has added over 6k in the last 24 hours! Shock

I just hope it holds a Snorlax.

Hope you feel better soon Doctor, being ill sucks.

Happy New Year fellow Poke hunters!

NameSux · 01/01/2017 12:12

Ahhh my charger keeps falling out. I need battery you Stoopid phone. I should already be one poke walk down this morning. 3 more bulbasaur needed for a venosaur. If there's more out there I might holdout to evole a bulbasaur all the way cos my ivasaur is a bit crap

PickAChew · 01/01/2017 12:04

It's been peeing down all morning. At least we're getting the odd bulbasaur in the garden.

And I finally hatched a baby, yesterday - a Ute little magby.

EatingMyWords · 01/01/2017 11:25

Happy new pokeyear!

Going to do a lucky egg mass evolve/7 day streak thing when I can be bothered to get dressed and go walk the dog to the nearest pokestop. I got enough candies for a charizard and venusaur thanks to the event Grin The menfolk hatched a togepi each yesterday too, so they're happy as well.

IhatchedaSnorlax · 01/01/2017 11:23

I can't play today at all - keep saying GPS signal not found! Very annoying!

RueDeWakening · 01/01/2017 11:20

I caught a charmander! 6 fecking months of playing this game, I finally have one! GrinGrin

I'm quite happy about it, can you tell?!

Igneococcus · 01/01/2017 09:16

Happy new year everybody!
Had a charizard on the radar, went to all the places where we see pokemons spawn around here and couldn't find it, at least we started the new year with a nice morning walk.
Hatched a Psyduck and an Eevee, still no babies at all.
Our gym has been taken over by red again overnight and contains now a CP128 squirtle and a CP131 Dewgong. They are having a laugh, aren't they? We are thinking of going over and putting our lowest CP pokemon in which would be a a CP38 ditto.

ZebraOwl · 01/01/2017 03:44

Well all the fireworks left me on such a massive adrenaline overload that I decided to run a couple of things of incense. Oh yes, I got that last Charmander. So I've done a mass evolve & now have a Charizard . Also have another Gyarados & assorted other duplicates inc a Ryhdon, Rapidashes, Kinghorns, Golducks...

DoctorTwo
Being ill isn't - or shouldn't be - a sort of weirdy Top Trumps. A cold can make a healthy person feel craptacular & they should feel able to say that. As long as you're not wilting on a chaise like a consumptive Victorian heroine, I think you're ok. It's like... I can fully sympathise with someone who has a headache, they're horrible. I do object to people saying they have a migraine when they have a headache, though, and it gives me a slight urge to stab them [with a sumatriptan injection?]... I hope you feel better soon, anyway!

Hey Zeb, my littlest is just learning to juggle her spoons, I might point her in your direction so she knows how to write beautifully about running out of them.

The last few days I've felt ill, it's not flu, when I had that I could hardly get to the loo. This just leaves me feeling shit and slightly down.

I need to get over myself.

I am genuinely a bit sad this cannot be an actual thing.
Do you think we could have Pokémon as carers/assistants for people with disabilities too? And psychic ones could presumably tell whether or not people actually needed to be at A&E very definitely completely for certain just by looking & if they did not they could redirect them to the appropriate place.
I would so much prefer Pokémon to fireworks. My overactive startle reflex & I are a bit tired now, what with the explosions-of-assorted-sizes having been going for over 6 hours now...

NameSux · 31/12/2016 23:35

Jigglypuff can send them all to sleep and snorlax can guard the shop windows in riots. And they can each be sent home with a few spearow

ZebraOwl · 31/12/2016 23:31

Went for a wee wander today. Was left needing only one more Charmander to get my Charizard, but too tired to go out again. Hélas. However, tomorrow. Tomorrow I SHALL venture forth again & Catch All The Charmanders & stock up on Pidgeys & do a Lucky Egg evolve to try to bring myself up from the bottom of L29. My other excitement for the day was hatching an Igglybuff (they're in 2k eggs!) & I caught some more Santachus - including some scenic!Santachus...

LBOCS2
Thankfully where I live didn't go up in smoke in the same way during the riots. Bit bloody stupid to riot here full stop really, given the largest police station in Europe is on the high street... I was on my way to a ballet class in SW London when it started kicking off & by the time I got there footage was being shown on the news of it all. Was a bit surreal, really - like stumbling into the pages of a dystopian novel. My sister's best friend's husband (who is, weirdly, a lifelong family friend...) is an estate agent & decided to finish work early when he saw a car pulling up with balaclava-clad carriers of baseball bats & crowbars... aaaaaaand to link back to subject of thread, makes me wish emergency services had Actual Pokémon they could deploy. Water Pokémon for fire brigade, obvi; but the little shites wouldn't have been so bold if they were being chased down the high street by a Scyther/Beedrill/Gyarados/Pinsir/Kingler/other or, fr'ex, getting zapped by an Electabuzz...

QueenLizIII · 31/12/2016 23:15

i hatched a goldeen staryu and Poliwag

MuddlingMackem · 31/12/2016 22:16

LBOCS2, saw a wild Charizard tonight. DH caught his with one ball, around 700CP, mine took around thirty balls, nearly cleaned me out completely, and then had the gall to poof. I was gutted, it was 2040CP. Sad

Been in Newcastle today, fair number of Bulbasaurs and Squirtles. I'm hoping nothing good shows up in the house tonight as neither DH or I have any balls left for anything obstinate. Grr!

DameDeDoubtance · 31/12/2016 22:04

Just hatched a Meowth and a Voltorb Sad

MerylPeril · 31/12/2016 22:02

I only just managed to get a Charmader last night.
They need to mix things up a bit - half the Pokemon people mention on here I haven't heard of.

Stupid pokestops have stopped giving out eggs, only incubators - so I have nothing to walk just now!

NameSux · 31/12/2016 21:58

I agree Dane. No more ranting for the rest of 2016.

I'm really jealous of your porygon Snitch, they are soooo hard to find.

ED you can't change what comes out of the pokestops but you can discard what you don't use. If you are already discarding I saw a post on another forum that speculated you got more of what you'd discarded cos it looked like you were using loads. This guy was testing it by discarding 1 or 2 balls with the potions to see if he got more balls from stops after. He never updated to say if it worked but might be worth a try?

TheOtherGalen · 31/12/2016 21:57

elizabethdraper Hang in there, it should get better! I remember feeling really frustrated at level 20 & 21 but things did improve: started seeing new Pokemon and getting things with much better CP.

And oh, ugh, yeah, the useless potions, lol. I don't battle much either. My local Pokemon super-dude does all the battling; I just come along later and throw my critters in the gyms after he's taken the gym. As for the potions, I throw them out and keep walking my Pokestop route. Eventually you can build up a nice supply of balls.

elizabethdraper · 31/12/2016 21:48

stuck on lvl 21 for ages. cant remember the last time i seen new Pokemon.

i have collected 87 so far. Pokestops are only giving me medicines which are useless as i dont battle.

Is there anything i can do to change this? oh and it is taking 6+ balls to catch anything

so frustrated
