Well, saw this little one left overnight in a gym. Sad, really... Where are his parents? What were they thinking? Do they work night shifts too?

So many questions...

Astonishingly, one of my 10k eggs turned out something useful - a chansey. I've never seen one in the wild so that was a bonus. I'm now at 142!

FrogTime · 06/01/2017 20:24

Evening all! Welcome back soubriquet!

Got enough candy for my venosaur today, just 7 candy off charizard.
Level 26 now and only hatched 1 egg today - a bloody horsea Angry
Got a 2km cooking at the mo, reaaaallly hope it's a cleffa or igglybuff.

D'ya reckon we'll have to wait til Easter for the next event? Or maybe Valentine's will be a smoochum event Grin

Shellder · 06/01/2017 19:03

I hope you enjoy it Snorlax I very much appreciated the recommendation of the Pokemon Go Radio podcast that I got from here, lovely to be able to share resources Smile

Experimenting with our local gyms today to see how long I can keep a Pokémon in one.

Gym 1 - 3 hours
Gym 2 - 6 minutes
Gym 3 - 1 hour

Bah! Those of you who get Pokémon in gyms for more than a day, do you notice a difference in gym location? I'm guessing city centre ones turn over quicker?

Still holding out hope for gyms 4 and 5 (currently 45 mins and counting, but in my MIL's little village).

PossumInAPearTree · 06/01/2017 19:01

Got my first baby, an igglybuff. Not sure whether to keep it as it's likely to be my only one or level it up?

Soubriquet · 06/01/2017 18:46

Aaaah thank you.

Glad to be doing it again, bet I'm really behind everyone now

IhatchedaSnorlax · 06/01/2017 18:41

Thanks Shellder.

IhatchedaSnorlax · 06/01/2017 18:40

Their not they're - that was autocorrect, not my bad grammar Blush

IhatchedaSnorlax · 06/01/2017 18:40

Welcome back Soubriquet!!

The egg colour denotes they're distance - think 5k are brown, 2k green & 10k are purple.

Soubriquet · 06/01/2017 18:34

I've just started playing again after taking a few months break and immediately caught two bulbasaurs. The one Pokémon I've been wanting for months!!

Quick question, all my eggs seem to have changed colour. They are brown now instead of green. Apart from one. What does this mean?

I definitely recommend it, nice chap who presents very well and I've learned a lot. Worth looking it up and seeing which episode titles appeal. I found the episode on how to dodge at gyms very useful and enjoyed his adventure in Japan (although his lack of punctuality made me shouty).

IhatchedaSnorlax · 06/01/2017 13:53

Anything good to share Shellder?

Shellder · 06/01/2017 12:14

I've been watching Trainer Tips on YouTube, the Pokemon addiction has grown. Grin

Hi all! Been quiet on here for a while, it seems newborn babies really eat into pokemoning time!

I've had a frustrating month because I knackered my pelvic floor trying to do too much walking too soon (definitely not trying to catch Pokemon!) so I've been instructed not to walk. Have not managed to hatch a single baby mon Sad

I have found a local pub I can drive too that has a pokestop and loads of charmanders, bulbasaurs and squirtles so I'm really close to evolving the full chain for those.

DSD got a phone for Christmas so she's been pokemoning like mad and the three of us have had some fun driving to local gyms and taking them down as a team!

Hoping I get the all clear from physio soon to do some walking so I can start hatching my eggs

Igneococcus · 06/01/2017 09:26

I just caught a 535Cp wartortle in my house but it took 8 balls, I had no great or ultraball or razzberries left. I didn't think I would get it. Need another 16 candies to evolve.
I have another 12.4 km to walk with my kabuto, not sure I manage that today in the rain.

Lilaclily · 06/01/2017 07:14

I throw a ridiculous number of balls at a wild wartotle yesterday and then it ran Angry

Icouldbeknitting · 06/01/2017 07:07

I've caught two Dragonairs and I'm currently picking up one Dratini most days. They appear somewhere along the line of the canal which is now part of the national cycle network. It is teeming with water Pokemon despite the canal being dry.

Today I should be able to stop walking my Kabuto. It's taken an age because I've only ever caught two.

jennielou75 · 06/01/2017 05:49

Stopped walking my kabuto as I only have two candies. Am walking my tagopie sp? It looks cute as I am carrying it in my arms but it is 5k a candie!

MuddlingMackem · 06/01/2017 00:02

EatingMyWords, are you you going to buddy a Tokepi so you can evolve one?

I missed out on that one but have three Cleffas (hatched my third today), two Elekids and one each of Smoochum and Igglybuff, so can't really complain. Grin

Today I also hatched a Magikarp with 9 candies and am now only four Margikarp away from a Gyrados.

PickAChew · 06/01/2017 00:00

TTV (Transfer the venusaur)

LBOCS2 · 05/01/2017 23:58

I just went out to catch a Venusaur at the pokestop just down the road from us. Because I am a loving wife I took DH's phone with me too. Mine was a level 350ish, his was about 1500 Angry.

I then went to a different pokestop which I know is a spawning point for Kabuto and he said he didn't have one. Caught him one - turns out he got one on the 2nd and didn't tell me.

Get home and he's asleep taking up the whole sofa.

I'm done being a loving wife for today.

TheOtherGalen · 05/01/2017 23:20

I'm embarrassed to admit I've never powered anything up. I have ... uh ... 664,353 stardust.

I never want to power anything up because I keep thinking the second I do, I'll catch or hatch a way more powerful version of the thing I just wasted a bunch of stardust and candy on.

TallulahBetty · 05/01/2017 23:09

Tbh that Dragonite is THE most exciting one I've ever seen/caught. Never seen a sniff of one before, nor a Lapras, Gyarados etc

EatingMyWords · 05/01/2017 22:52

I haven't got a lapras or a dragonite Sad Do you think they'll have a special dragon event for Chinese New Year?

I did hatch a second togepi today, and got in 5 gyms! Oh yes, I'd never noticed before that you get different amounts of candy when you hatch a mon- I always assumed you got the same for each type except on special events.
