Pokemon Go #6: Where pokemon babies are abandoned in gyms at freezing temperatures

I'm a bit closer to the gold shoes. I've just come in from my morning walk, I went somewhere new today and it was a Pokemon desert. I doubt I'll be doing another 8 miles today so this is probably tomorrow's badge. I'll have to check but I think I average a Magicarp every two miles but still no Grimer.

Ooh close! Twice a week I walk 8-10 miles at work and generally at least 5 a day weekdays and that's why a portable charger is a must if keeping the app on!

I have pre ordered the Pokemon go plus for this reason. Looking forward to some improved distance calculations with that!

Glad I didn't want to log in while it's down. Already frustrated with MN pages timing out and my water supply doing pretty much the same (turns out they're doing maintenance in our back street - for the next week, so I've got another week of it, according to the website). The 21st century and I don't appear to be friends, this evening and I might have been unkind to my phone if attempts to distract myself by lobbing things at weedles had been thwarted!

I took DS1's phone out for a walk for him, this morning, got to school and noticed he hadn't put an egg on. Muppet!

Ah, I had about an hour when it wouldn't let me log on, thought it was just me, didn't realise there was an actual problem. Annoyingly I did a fair bit of walking in that time - dropping off and collecting kids from an activity - so it's a pain to have missed out on it for my eggs and candy.

It's Back!

Before it crashed I hatched a 10k egg and got my second snorlax !

Tomorrow I am planning on a gym arse kicking day. Otherwise it's back to same old around here, I think some changr would do this town some good.

I've had a good week in the local gyms. Currently 4/8 in one, and 7/10 in the other. They've not been stable like this for a while. I got in on Monday morning; they tend to change over a lot at the weekend. They're in the woods so there's very little change at night.

Before Christmas, I went to attack one of them and there was a trainer from another team battling there, but no one in sight!

Tumpy you can only collect for 10 gyms regardless of how many you're in. Unfortunately! If you're in 14 you still only get coins for 10.

I've held 6 overnight. Traveled rurally for work and trained up two friendly gyms so I hope they stick!

1000km! Very impressive! I'm on about 525, not too bad.

Good info on who to battle with, thanks. I've been swapping out before they faint as revives seem to be rare nowadays. I used to chuck em out to have room for more balls, it's the other way round now.

705.7 k it seems but I know that i sometimes get a lot of walking credited just while the phone sits on my desk, only at work not at home as much. On the other hand I do a ~ 6 km walk a couple of times a week at lunchtime and I only get about 2 km for that, I lose connection for a large junk of it, so it probably balances out.

695.6km since the game first launched, so in 6 months.

I've taken many more steps without it running, but then again, a few steps have been achieved on a crawly bus.

snitcheroo I have a really sad list I carry around in my phone case for gym battles. Lots of alternatives so I can try and get a Pokemon of half the CP value for when prestiging friendly gyms.

Have walked 708 km so far.

Deffo makes me walk further. Like tonight after I had walked DD to dance I walked a longer way home so I could call by 2 'easier' gyms so I could collect my 20 coins for the day.

Thanks to managing to catch a few, I finally had enough Kabuto candies so now have my Kabutops. Only Aerodactyl and Tangela from Gen 1 and Magby from the babies to get. I'm now buddying Togepi as I have two, so I theoretically could evolve one, if I walk 140km first.

TheOtherGalen, I use it as a walking app too. It's much more satisfying to see your efforts hatch an egg, even if something you really don't need :-) , or to generate a candy. I've done a ton of walking I would never have done without this game and, like you, have managed to drop a few pounds. I just need to cut down on the chocolate for it to have more of an effect though, but all of the walking makes me hungry! LOL! Oh, I'm now in the habit of putting my phone and my battery pack on charge each night ready for the next day.
