I was only getting every other poke stop in the car this morning so could be true. I was getting the come back later message.

Bad newz about the Pokestops but I don't know if it's happened here yet. I'm sure DH would have texted from the bus if it had.

Gutted about the pokestops. I understand not being able to hatch eggs at speed, but how is it cheating by getting items at speed?

Good news on the bonus.
Bad news: just read on Twitter that pokestops will now be speed locked and won't work if you're in the car or bus. If thats true it will be really annoying.

Good news: apparently if you take an enemy gym it's now locked for you for a few minutes to stop others taking it from you.

Woo hoo! Thanks. Just collected my first 10 coins. DD will be thrilled. Just need to get her in a gym somewhere now so she can do that for herself. Can't see me getting in gyms very often, so I'll remember to check for coins straight away in future as I think there will most likely be more than 21 hours between.

Well the timing has clearly gone wonky somewhere, but I just (2347) got awarded 500XP for my first catch of the day - which very much was NOT the first catch of Sunday, but maybe the servers are confused & think it's already Monday?!

I finally managed to evolve my Wheezing (still sounds so wrong..) on Friday morning by walking my Koffing buddy. Walked Eggsecute from then & have just got a candy - I've only been out to GP to collect prescription & to Brownies & latter did not permit Pokémon-ing as got lifts to & from. Have played on & off over weekend, but my avatar doesn't walk much at home. The spawn spot over the road has started to produce things other than the interminable procession of rattata, pidgey & spearow - still plenty of them (well, this is Inner London, it'd be wrong & unrealistic not to have rats & pigeons all over everywhere...) but other things breaking up the monotony now.

Am hoping that I'll be well enough to go to ballet, um, later (it seems to be past bedtime, I blame the cats...) & then go on a Pokémon Hunt up in town. And my hospital appointment at Guy's on Thursday is bound to be so late I have to miss ballet (because that clinic is ALWAYS hours behind...) so I plan to head over to the IWM after that because I need about a billion bulbasaurs...

Really annoying that Guy's is nowhere near as good as Tommy's for Pokémon when am guaranteed to be trapped there for so long. Grump. Although it was a tiny bit embarrassing last week when I was catching a Pokémon when called into my appointment in the pain clinic & as I went to put my phone on silent, inwardly lamenting the waste, had to explain to the nurse specialist who manages my care & the opiate clinic lead (who I was meeting for the first time) that no I very much was not taking a photo of the consulting room I was trying to catch a tiny monster with my phone & they had interrupted me

Have swapped to buddy a Grimer as need 10 more candy to evolve & I've not seen any info on hotspots, whilst I might be able to get myself to somewhere eggsecutes are known to be. With both of them it's been a case of one caught & one hatched - the Grimer I caught the first time I went through the "new" London Bridge to the underground (even that could not make me kindly disposed towards the new set-up); the Eggsecute was on a train - having been inspired by this thread to look up maps I now know there is/was a nest near the Millwall stadium: I must have been VERY lucky timing-wise!

Yes, the bonuses have started.

To be clear, there's a 21 hour wait to collect coins after you've collected them in the first instance but if you've not collected them previously / in last 21 hours, then you can claim them immediately on getting into the gym.

You claim the coins as soon as you get the gym (unless your timer hasn't run out yet as you need to wait 21 hrs before claiming coins). Go to shop & click on green shield on top right corner to collect them.

Went out tonight at DD's insistance to nab a vacant place in our team's gym, only to arrive there and discover it had been taken over. Did my first ever battles and got the gym back. Very chuffed with myself, although I doubt I'll stay there long enough to claim any coins. However, on the off-chance I do, how do you claim them?

Also, on the way there I caught a Jigglypuff and on the way back hatched one from my 5km egg, so now I have enough candy for a Wigglytuff at my next evolving session. Good day.

I just caught a Goldeen (got shit loads) and got 700 stardust for it!! is this the bonus thing do you think?

Went to my parents today, could not believe the variety on my sightings, Machop, Ponyta, Jigglypuff, Growlithe, Abra, Vulpix. There were loads! Unfortunately it was a flying visit so will be going back mid-week. Also saw another grey, I'm pretty sure it was a Tangela! Couldn't find that either.

Also had an Onyx turned up on my sightings when I was sat on the sofa, quickly out my hoodie on and went for a wander with DS but could not find it.

Had a Bulbasaur searching day. Im 5 candy from Venosaur. So near yet so far!

Very jealous, JellyWitch as I still need another 29 Abra candies for my Alakazam, I'd love to be living on an Abra spawn.

On the plus side, saw and caught my first Kabuto today on the bus home, so that's another one in the Pokedex. And earlier today I got into my first gym, and was the one with the crown, although that lasted less than an hour before I got booted. LOL! Just totted up my bingo lines (I take it this is a full line in the Pokedex, yes?) and I have five, and I should get a sixth from my next evolve session. :)

An Abra spawned on my road today and a Kabuto at the corner shop. Only ever had one Kabuto!

Venonat's and Voltorbs are my new pidgeys and rats.

Mostly hunting from my sofa today which appears to have an Eevee and abra spawn.

I did pop out though to boost the prestige of a nearby gym I'm in - used up a few Pokemon I then sent to the professor and left the gym halfway to L9 (from L7). I am slowly honing my levelling skills to get 1500-2000 points from each round. I do struggle though to find decent Pokemon at half the level of the ones in gyms.

I took over a gym but been busy doing none pokemon stuff all day.. I hatched a 2k egg it was magikarp

I got Doduo and Voltorb from 5k eggs today. Still in 3 gyms.

Not done much playing this weekend as spent it at home with poorly dd. Lots of cuddles but no exciting Pokemon.

Did take over my local church (which is a gym) and brought down a blue gym from level 9 to level 7. I'm determined to bring it down slowly!

Spawns have definitely changed. Let's see what the week brings. I've got 9 eggs and they are all 5k. I really hope at least one of them is decent.

It happened, he's here!! First ever snorlax and he's a beauty!!

Nothing else good happened today, about 2.5km through my next (and only) 10km egg, fingers crossed for lapras this time!
