I preordered from Amazon and it came today, played for a couple of hours while the small one was at nursery now waiting for everyone to go to bed so I can continue!

So far I'm missing DJ Three Dog but everything else is spot on.

Preston will give you quests indefinitely.

lighteningirl · 01/02/2016 14:26

Ooh I haven't got a settlement at Boston airport how much of Preston Harvey do I have to put up with Confused

arowhena · 01/02/2016 09:40

The diversity of settlers is really good but there is one recurring type that looks sort of like Lance Henriksen. I got unreasonably irritated at recognising this type and started making them wear plain road armor and sending them to Boston Airport (terrible barren settlement). I was hoping they might cause controversy among the Paladins by resembling synths. However only four of them show up when I ring the bell - there are 6 more registered settlers. Should I build a barbecue or a comfy sofa or something to attract them?

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 29/01/2016 08:05

I've activated that quest but not started it. I did level up to 41 last night though

I have spent the last two hours following the Freedom Trail best do some work now.......

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 26/01/2016 20:29

I am SO annoyed.

I read a spoiler and now I know the ending to the main quest Angry. It was my own fault.

I set up all my trade routes to end at the castle and have fortified it with loads of concrete shack floors and turrets. Spent two hours not actually playing....

Hi all. Sorry for the silence. Haven't had much time to play so have zero interesting things to say, but have been reading.

Nice work binary! That gun sounds awesome Grin

00100001 · 26/01/2016 14:51

and have found Strong.

Would recommend getting the Overseer's Guardian, it shoots an additional projectile

00100001 · 26/01/2016 14:50

Oooh I just released Curie!

lighteningirl · 26/01/2016 14:33

Oh really pleased I put up with Curie her story line is fab and she's a great fighter once I have her perk I'm going to finish Nick Valentine and start McCreadys. Sorted out supply lines and hoping that will be all up and running now

00100001 · 26/01/2016 08:38

I'm level 31 now - wheeeee

Have the overseer's guardian gun now with rifleman perk rank 4 - it's a beast!

00100001 · 22/01/2016 21:48

I'm slowly levelling up,level 27!

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 22/01/2016 12:20

I went out last night - had a good time but am itching to get back to it.

Incidentally I've not found a better gun than my newly renamed exploding shotgun 'Big Bang'. Although I still use Snifle for long range Wink Grin

I found Strong and then he wandered off so I'm still with MacCready.

lighteningirl · 21/01/2016 21:41

Oh love the supply lines that's Saturday sorted

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 21/01/2016 15:41

Pastamancer that is genius.

I set them so all my people would have a wide variety of stuff to choose from Blush.

Leveled up to 40 last night

You can spawn them if you're using PC

otherwise you just have to go and look for them - try your bases first.

Pastamancer · 21/01/2016 09:31

I use The Castle as my main base and send companions there when I change them so that I remember where they are. If you build a bell in a settlement you can ring it and that will make everyone there come to the bell. If you really can't find a companion after trying round settlements then it is possible they went back to where you originally found them.

There is a supply lines perk which allows you to share resources among settlements. Once you get that perk you go to a settlement and enter build mode, select a settler and there should be an option for supply line. If you do this then they will walk to whichever settlement you chose and then anything you put in either of those settlements will be available to use in both. I set all my supply lines to the castle so that I can dump my junk there and it will be available to all my settlements. By doing this I only have to send 1 settler from each settlement to the castle. You can view the supply lines in your map so you know which ones are connected.

lighteningirl · 21/01/2016 09:04

I've just given Nick Valentine the Searing Shishkebab and he's gone crazy attacking ghouls I can practically stand around dancing. I've sent Strong somewhere and can't remember where anyone know how to track a companion?

00100001 · 21/01/2016 07:33

Strong likes fighting and not much else Grin

bloodyteenagers · 20/01/2016 23:15

Oh and strong doesn't like you picking locks.. He's still faithful and still feeding me though lol

bloodyteenagers · 20/01/2016 23:14

Near workbenches are odd looking yellow things (cannot thing what they are called and surrounded by zombies at the mo). Look like garbage and scrap but unable to. Take the power suits to there to repair etc.. All power armor bit you pick up store there.

Talking of work benches took me age
To realize they are not connected. So now have loads of boxes in one location and each dedicated to steel, circuitry, crystal etc..all on alphabetical order..

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 20/01/2016 22:51

I can't figure out what to do with the armour though. I've found two so far (and loads of bits) but I've lost one and can't figure out how to repair the bits!

I'm level 39 now - I literally found Strong in the last hour!

I've been doing loads of side quests but have got back on the main quest now.

OP posts:
bloodyteenagers · 20/01/2016 22:45

My companion is strong. I have several potential ones scattered. I found him pretty early on in the game. But I tend to go off grid and do lots of exploring. Then go through some missions to see where I don't get killed straight away. One of the reasons why I enjoy sandbox games.

Still hating the deathclaws. Although this time you do get the warning they are around.. Still the fuckers make me jump.

Keep a hamza suit. This gets you safely into the glowing sea to find Virgil. Just make sure you are heavily armed up and quic save a lot.

And surely it's not just me that enjoys watching a head coming away or something being blown up..

Nearly level 33 here. But means nothing. I have 14 perks to add, and like I said I go off mission and wander around. Top of my quest list is to travel to C.i.t have about 20 under this.

My eldest has finished it. Said one of the perks is that unlike the others when finished still stuff to do.. I am not asking him though
Cos I don't want the spoilers. So he could be winding me up.. And yes, he's over 18 lol.6

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 20/01/2016 14:31

Yeah and you can't fill up a Nuka Cola machine which is annoying!

I am not able to play a bad character. I didn't like Vegas partly because the karma was a lot more ambiguous than on 3. I miss karma on 4 although making the companions like you is kind of similar.
