Winter coat dilemma - again. Need to buy something decent once and for all!

Over the past few years I’ve bought a couple of winter coats that are “nice looking” and reasonably priced but tbh haven’t really kept me that warm.
So the brief is, long, padded (I think) cosy, waterproof (think dog walking in winter) with a hood. Budget up to £300.
Any recommendations please?

I've got this one and love it. Hoggs of Fife Womens Walker Long Coat – Hollands Country Clothing

I recommend Didriksons, I have one similar to this. I’ve had mine for 4/5 years and still fully waterproof and very warm.

Have a look on sport pursuit. Some good coats at bargain prices on there.
I like Didriksons but loads of other good brands too.

I got a Seasalt Janelle last year and I love it, I was so warm while in Glencoe in December.
