Unfortunately if you want to claim you have to jump through their hoops. You are certainly not being unfairly targeted though, it’s more common than you might think to have regular reviews. You have to take the calls of you want the money, it’s that simple.

Possible something is flagged on your record. You could put in a subject access request with DWP to get info but some of that could be redacted anyway. Just best to comply.

I mean u can either make a complaint or just suck it up and do what they've asked you to do op.its your choice.

I think in all probability they're too busy to take a dislike to someone and make extra work for themselves because 'it's personal'.

Just answer the questions as quickly and efficiently as you can, to get the phone call out of the way quickly.

unfortunatlythey do get personal i put in a complaint about a jobcentre member of staff a while bavk rather than manager dealing with complaintshe called me into her office at one of my apoointments my file was scattered all over her floor like she was looking for something to use against me i was then sent on a day course about interview techiques so they do get oersonal they dont like being ask ed quesions or critised but your supposed to sit there and tell them everything apart from when u last went to bathroom

When I had review I was told to submit bank statements etc and that then I would receive a call. I submitted everything and then received a message few days later with telephone appointment.
The appointment call went through about 5-10 minutes later than it was supposed to be but no more.

Edited

thats what they did with me about 3 or 4 weeks ago then oday i got a message telling me i had to check info i had given them i did that confirmed the info was right no changes then i got a text message telking me that thwy were going to phone to check my details were right no.appointment though they can phone at any ime if i miss call they can stop my money

I assume they don't believe something, could you have made a mistake? They will have your bank statements anyway and probably details of any other accounts you have. If you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about, just annoying bureaucracy.

i have nothing to worry about but two things get me

these checks started in 2022 i know some that havent had a review in all that time so why are some getting targeted an not others

for me i believe its personal i got accepted for college this year but changed my mind due to mental health issue s jobcentre know about my mental health but werent hapoy i change d my mind about collegw i had a review 2 or 3 weeks after that at end of that review i was asked if i had questions i asked why that was the second reviewi had had when i know others that hadnt had any at that point person doing review became aggresiv e and i was told to think myself lucky i could have a review e ery 6 months gu ess what i got one about 4 weeks later those werent coindidences that was personal

I think you should ask them for a more specific time slot of the call. Do it through your journal.

ill do that now

It's a bit of a ball ache but if you need to check your details are correct, then you need to do it.

The phone call is more important than any volunteering work, given it's to enable you to have an income.

Just keep your phone on you and walk out of the room, to answer any questions.

even if your leaving room you still have no expectatuon of privacy id either bein in a hallway or outside people can still listen in
last month they wanted bank statements etc gave them e erything they wanted including the info they asked for today the information they asked for today was confirmed online so why the need to phone?

Could you have made any errors with your details OP?

no they ask you to check your details then ask you to confirm them so no mistakes
