Why can't she enforce her contracts with her clients? You know sex work is legal (under specific circumstances). If she has a contract with a client and it's breached, she absolutely can enforce it.

And if she couldn't: that would be something to fight for. Not a reason to post on here having a go at a stranger instead of asking valid questions.

I don't care if she pays taxes! She has absolutely none of the rights or protections of anyone in employment in the UK, ACAS are not exactly stepping in to a dispute, she can't take non payments to small claims court.

Can you not do care work?
There are lots of jobs available in care (homes / hospitals/ domiciliary or support work); these jobs are quite easy to get as evidenced by the fact that many newly arrived immigrants work in these roles (and no shade to them, because although they often lack specific care experience, they are often keen to learn the skills)..

I actually sometimes work with an older lady who used to be a prostitute (with an addiction) and is now sober & is a care assistant in the hospital; to be fair she says well, you still see lots of bottoms & privates in her hospital job.. but at least she gets to keep her dignity!

With care or support work you can choose your hours, gain qualifications as you work, & better yourself as well. Ok it’s often hard work and can be minimum wage at base rate but I would ten million times rather do it than prostitute myself to some gross man, sorry.

I’d rather be a sex worker than a care worker.

Despite working all my life since 18, due to personal reasons that I can’t go into, it’s been a struggle the last 2/3 years to get conventional full time consistent employment, unless I want to work nights in a factory on shifts in chilled environments which cause my muscles in my hands etc to cramp so not viable.
I’ve had 1/2 bordering negative experiences so far which weren’t bad enough to put me off.
I already have 2 non exclusive sugar daddies - which means I get a minimum monthly allowance for 8 x 1 hour appointments each per month.

Prostitution is not a career.

Whilst men denigrating and abusing women is absolutely a male problem, it is helped along the way by the women who enable men to see us as objects for sale.

I have every sympathy for women who are forced to sell their bodies but none for those who choose to do so.

Nope. And there's also GILFs. You've be really suprised once you get an insight into the fetish world how many different kinks and preferences they are. Sex workers aren't all thin, 25 year olds with big boobs as they are often portrayed. On the darker side of it, many women of an older age who are addicts still manage to fund their lifestyle through sex work, they just probably don't get paid as much.

I actually have little emotional attachment to sex and see it all as acting. That may be weird and when clients say ‘cos you want it’, I have to agree through gritted teeth because of course that’s what they need to hear. But I’m not the one having to pay for sex with a sex worker.

I'm bemused as to why mumsnetters find this so difficult to believe. You would know from your own experience that any woman can make an online dating profile and receiving dozens of likes and messages within a few days, so why would it be difficult to believe that OP would receive a lot of messages after advertising on a website?
