Gift ideas for 12 year old DD

I’m at a loss! What went down well with your DDs? She’s not into makeup but has some, has enough art stuff, has only asked for some books, her bike, skateboard, stunt scooter etc are fine, hates clothes shopping. Latest interests are dinosaurs and writing a book.

She's asked for books so get books !
You could maybe get a nice reading journal and one of those booknooks you build yourself.
Maybe a few special edition copies of classic novels (there's some beautiful editions out there).

Thanks for the suggestions. Apparently anything dinosaur themed is a no go area! On one hand it’s sweet that she’s not asking for things for the sake of it. I might look for experiences instead. She might like a horse riding lesson…my fear is she may then want lots!!
