Helix piercing

For anyone who has their helix pierced, how long did it take to heal and is it a pain trying to sleep? It’s the healing that’s putting me off.

Id say at least 6 months to be honest, though for some reason mine has never fully healed. I have no idea why, my other cartilage piercings are absolutely fine (that might just be me though)

Cartilage is probably usually 6 to 12 months to fully heal. It's not a good idea to sleep on whichever side you get it in the mean time, it will aggravate it

Mine took months, kept getting infected, and still flared up if I slept funny on it for absolutely years. I eventually changed it to a much finer gauge hoop and it settled immediately and has never caused me any more trouble.
