Jowls - help!

I don't have the money to spend on professional treatments so what is the best I can do at home to improve my jowls? I'm in my 50s. Face lifting device? Face yoga? Collagen? Retinol or none of these work?

Any suggestions are welcome.

I did 9 months of myofunctional therapy to strengthen my tongue, zero improvement on my TMJ pain but did wonders for my face/jowels.

@stayathomegardener did the doctor prescribed this therapy to you? How bad was your jowls?

@notapizzaeater How much is a session for HIFU and how many sessions you need? Is it safe and effective for moderate jowls?

Tbf I don’t take much notice of what I look like in general but the difference is pretty staggering, I saw a specialist dentist.

Is it weight-related? I’ve been at the pies & now my face has sort of melded into a jowl-y, double chin, neck fat-pillow scenario. I think losing a few pounds will definitely help!

Mines the opposite, I’ve lost 12 stone and everything is loose and has dropped 🤣🤣🤣

I had HIFU treatment earlier in the year. I had 3 sessions so was £600 which was half price. I had big, loose jowls which I don’t now so I’m really pleased with. Thinking about getting it again on my loose turkey neck.

I’ve an underactive thyroid, it’s not been mentioned it’s contra indicated

I don’t sorry. The salon took pics and have them stored and she showed me them after my last session. You could definitely see the difference.

I used to push my skin from my chin to my ears and I had a big bulge of loose skin. I don’t now.

I definitely think it takes more than 1 session to see a difference.

You meant you have thyroid issues too? It's a bit complicated as I want to try a microcurrent device but again with thyroid issues you have to avoid the neck area.

I started to look a miserable and sad because of my jowls so had a bit of filler in them and a small amount in the cheeks to hold them up and now I look how I feel again .

I don’t feel comfortable posting photos of my face on here. It costs around £300 every 15-18 months, I visit a dermatologist who treated me in the private sector for some skin issues. I started about 9 years ago, I’m 57 now and don’t have jowls.

What about turkey neck? Any non invasive treatments?

I realised I don't just have jowls but vertical lines on my neck too. 😭
