do you think if you get good news a person who loves you should always be happy for you?

Are there exceptions?

My current situation is a person i am close to doesn't seem too supportive that i've had a lot of viewings for my home because they struggled to sell theirs a few years ago. Is this a red flag?

It's not a red flag. Don't make it harder for them by making a thing of it. Unfortunately your 'success' is reminding them of their 'failure' and making them feel badly about themselves which will make it hard for them to look / sound delighted for you - so they may well be happy for you without being able to show it. But if, on the other hand, their hurt is obscuring their ability to feel happy for you, so what? That doesn't hurt you does it? Cut them some slack - you're the lucky one after all.
