Forgotten anti depressants

Aargh am on holiday and have forgotten my sertraline.
Part of me thinks is this ok as I want to try and come off them. History- started after both parents died within relatively quick succession. Was on 100mg but have got it down to 25mg and do occasionally forget a day.

Have been on them for 3 years.

Any advice on how to support how I may feel? And should I start up again when home.

I’d try and get an emergency supply from a pharmacy. They are OTC in some countries. I came off it with no side effects but I dropped to 12.5mg first; lots of people get brain zaps or headaches when they stop sertraline.

I would try and get a quick appointment out there as stopping without dropping slowly can have side effects. I think it would also give you the peace of mind to continue to enjoy your holiday.

You mustn't come off the cold turkey, if you want to come off then you need to taper off very slowly over weeks/ months. Holiday isn't the time to do it. Go to the pharmacy and see what they say.

I’m not recommending it but I came off sertraline cold turkey and was absolutely fine.
