My kids won’t watch TV

And I know it sounds like I’m being a smug mum - I’m not, I’m actually bloody desperate for some screentime but they just watch two minutes then shoot off.

I know it sounds like a non problem but I’ve just read yet another post where the proposed solution is a bit of CBeebies and it’s troubling me a bit tbh. I’m just wanting a bit of quiet time at the end of the day when I cook dinner and I don’t get it.

Have they seen any Studio Ghibli movies? Ponyo, My Neighbour Toroto, Kiki's Delivery service are all good for little ones. They're quite different and mesmerising.
My daughters loved classic Tom and Jerry, we bought the boxset.

People are giving suggestions for things they might like and thank you but they don’t watch TV. They just don’t engage with it at all.

Depending on their age Google Adventure Game. Problem solving with “fun”, dragons and crystals.

Find something classic.

The Wombles, Thomas The Tank Engine or Five Children and It.

Modern television is a bit loud and in your face.

Try some shows that are not cartoons...
Animal hospital shows.
Under water documentaries.
Short children's films.
Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.
Horse Racing.
Craft and activity shows.
