Does pregnancy feel quick when you are waiting to try next year

How quickly did your pregnancy go? DP and I are on slightly different timelines. He wants to TTC a child in two years and I was ready last year. So he has agreed to start to try next July. Hopefully we get pregnant quickly. We did all the tests abroad for about £300 and both sides look healthy.

It just feel ages until I get to meet my baby. We are both 30 years old. I am just so ready and excited. The quickest I could be holding my baby is 1 year and 9 months, assuming all goes to plan. If we get pregnant quickly, 9 months feels ages. How quickly did your pregnancy go?

My first two trimesters flew by. We had been trying for a long time and I've had a wonderful pregnancy. It's started REALLY dragging around week 30.

I'm 34 weeks now and just too big. Can't sit comfortably, I can't sleep, my body dysmorphia is wilding and my bump gets in the way of everything.

Best piece of advice I can give is stay calm and relaxed. Stress kills your chances.

I would recommend starting folic acid if you haven't already as this is one of the best ways to prepare your body. I also took, vitamin D.

First trimester will fly by, but l found it very hard by about 33 weeks.

Every woman experiences different issues or no issues.

I had an excess of amniotic fluid so l was rolling out of the bed and couldn't wait for it to be over!!

I was the opposite!
The first trimester felt like it took forever and a day (and I'm confirming this as I'm back there now..!). Waiting for that viability scan and for the sickness to bog off. But once I hit 15ish weeks it absolutely flew and before I knew it, I was going to sleep the night before my section!

No l took to get my body in a healthy place. It's individual for each woman. But l think it put me in better stead

She is our first and we honestly can't wait to meet her. She's already got a little personality. Doesn't like the sonographer peaking in on her and two weeks ago she punched my midwife's doppler through my belly we couldn't stop laughing.

My first pregnancy honestly felt like forever! I could have sworn I was pregnant for at least a few years! My second pregnancy, possibly as I was so busy with my toddler, passed in the blink of an eye.

It says 2-3 months before, not a whole year!!

I have had some underlying issues which means l wanted to take for longer. But as l alreafy said it's an individual choice

It might not be so bad if you start trying in July as atleast it’s split across 2 years. I’ve got a November baby and am due another autumn baby and it will really feel like the pregnancy has taken a whole year.

He wants to be married first and we're getting married next year. But he also wants to be in a better financial position

That’s fair enough, getting married first is a good idea especially as you hopefully have plenty of time fertility wise.

Never too early for folic acid. Ideally you want a good store of it. I was on it for several years before TTC because of my epilepsy. Vitamin D and Iron are also good to get in the habit of taking.
