North west beach day for a 4 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old. One family
coming from Stockport, the other from Bromborough.

I’m after a beach with accessible toilets/ice cream/pottering. Looking to go on Friday (24th). Basically think I’m looking between Weat Kirby and New Brighton. Thoughts???

New Brighton has the mermaid trail but I have to say I prefer Crosby beach, which you haven't mentioned, with its Anthony Gormley statues. Usually has an ice cream van there and toilets/pubs nearby.

New Brighton is fab.
If you set up near the Floral, you can use the toilets there and just along the prom is the ice cream van and then Vale Park has the little fairy village xx

Be aware in the summer holidays Crosby is overrun by teens - often drinking and doing gas. Could you go a bit further to Talacre?

Good Lord, really? 😬😡Thanks for the heads up.
Stick to your original ideas then OP. I have been to Crosby on at least 3 occasions in school holidays the last couple of years without issues but many teens wannabe roadmen have nowhere to go and not a lot to do bar vaping anymore 🤷
