Husband playing Happy Wife School videos in bed.

My husband has found The Happy Wife School on YouTube and keeps playing it out loud in bed because he is dissatisfied with our sex life and the lack of physical affection I show. I can’t seem to make him see that this channel is extreme.

Ok I’m not googling that.

If you communicate via passive consumption of media, I’m sure that there will be a How to Divorce podcast you could play.

Watch videos of buff men with big dicks whenever he does? And seriously make plans to leave this horrible man. Do you have kids together?

I took one for the team. It's about women taking responsibility for their marriage issues and teaches them how to control their emotions 🙄

Is there a Husband School?

Actually scratch that, there is probably endless red pill, manosphere content.

He is trying to communicate - maybe couples therapy might be a good next step?

Yikes I just had a look: there’s a men’s course for the bargain price of $1995

Can we get together and offer the Mumsnet Guide for unhappy Husbands DHs - secrets from the Viper’s Nest

  • how to spot household jobs that need doing
  • and just do them
  • how to locate the laundry basket and figure out what to put in it
  • how to identify the sound of your baby crying
  • and what to do next

Yeah I’m constantly getting stuff in my Social Media from men who are trying to educate other men on true partnership, wish my husband would see those. The comments on this woman’s videos are 99% from men.

Might have known there was an expensive course involved.

It’ll never work… mine will do something apallingly badly, so never gets asked again & will inform me it’s my own fault -for not liking the way he’s done the thing.

Aiming4Optimistic · 18/07/2026 13:46

He's being a prick - tell him he'll have a happy wife once he moves the fuck out and leaves you alone!

Francestein · 18/07/2026 13:48

You need to start watching videos on women who bury their husbands under the patio because they’re repulsive wankers

VestibuleWeaver · 18/07/2026 13:49

Why is he dissatisfied with your sex life and the lack of physical affection that you show? Does he have good reason to be or, as usual with these posts, is there a long list of serious problems in the relationship? And, if so, why focus on what he watches on YouTube, specifically?

Lesscluethanever · 18/07/2026 16:05

I think the problem is that this particular channel seems to lay the blame of all relationship problems at the women’s feet and I think that our current sex-drive disparity won’t be solved by only me making changes. It’s galling.

I do t think this worthless channel is the problem. The problem is you both sound unhappy.

There’s a Guardian link that has whiskers on it but I’ll add it below if I can find it.

whippersnapper55 · 18/07/2026 16:14

I'd tell him to fuck off 🤷‍♀️

blacksax · 18/07/2026 17:15

It's the same tired old trope again and again isn't it? They want a housekeeper downstairs and a porn star upstairs. And when they don't get what they want, they always blame the woman for not being 'affectionate' enough.

Sod that.
