Easy to say that with hindsight and sitting behind a computer. In the heat of the moment, not so much.

All this hatred of James A on here is just silly. Anyone noticed that it's just a game?

His I hate being a traitor is getting boring now, maybe he is deliberately playing the most reluctant traitor ever just to make him stand out a bit, no way will he win.

Yeah in the heat of the moment it would have been really tricky, but James didn’t even take his blindfold off. Totally pointless. What if all the traitors did that and we just watched them all stand there for 10 minutes. What thrilling tv would that have been.

Of course it’s just a game. It’s not “hate” it’s just criticism on how he’s playing, or not playing the game. No one is saying he’s an awful person. Do you realise it’s just a tv show that he’s willing signed up for?

I thought James A had a point the faithful next to him would have worked it out. He should have taken his blindfold off and communicated it better.

I thought it was Maya who blew the task. If they'd left it all to Kenny to do, would've been done and got away with it.

from a faithful point of view - her talking about the perfume bottles could be a red herring, they have no idea that she’s so close up the truth.

I hope Miranda has made the connection between Maya being in the library with Ross and also the floorboards moving near her.

I think Miranda is next to go so sadly Maya will get away with it. Can see her and Kenny winning together.

There's no hate of James A here. We are criticising his play, which is allowed.
Last year, Rachel got so much hate for being a great Traitor. Called cold, bitchy, mean girl. That was hate.

If all the faithful had sniffed or made a noise every few seconds like Romesh did, they could have worked out who two of the traitors were 🤣

Haven’t watched it after the first couple of episodes. Feels dull. Too many recruitments. Not enough traitors picked at the start. Wrong traitors picked. All seems a bit boring.

maybe if the producers had actually explained to the traitors beforehand what the task was they could have had a plan

id like to have seen Maya and kenny running around making noise and causing chaos whilst James built the puzzle

alan was very brazen last year with his murders in plain sight so unfortunately they’re going to avoid doing anything noticeable.James said in an interview that they were all avoiding being funny like Alan was 😂

I think the squeaky floorboards is a key reason of why they did it there. That was the point.

I think Miranda absolutely thinks Maya is a traitor. And probably James too

If you don't want to be a traitor, why go on a show called 'the traitors'? There is always a chance you will be recruited.

The traitors had no opportunity to discuss a strategy before the task started. Then James refused to even take his blindfold off so they couldn’t even signal to him. Only Kenny seemed to realise that as long as he crept away from his own spot he could then make as much noise as he liked to create confusion.

So James was scared, Maya was not bright enough and Kenny couldn’t carry the task on his own. But the producers won’t mind as the task has created a little wedge between James and the other traitors. I expect that will become a chasm in the next episode or two…

Were the floorboards actually squeaking? It seemed to me that it was a sound effect added to what we saw. Anyway (if the traitors had had a bit more time to prepare a plan) a traitor could have thrown a puzzle piece onto the floor near a faithful and used their shrieks as cover to move away from their spot. Once away they could have made as much noise as they liked and would then need to creep silently only when returning to their own spot. They didn’t need to walk silently the whole time.

If she has rumbled James she is definitely positioning herself close to him. She was holding his hand at one round table. I can’t remember which one though.

Exactly. He signed up and took the money and it isn't even as if its the first series - this lot had a much clearer idea of the contract. Most people simply refusing to do the job they are being paid for would lose pay or other penalty.

Blaming the only woman traitor on some platforms is just absurd.

If all three and slowly moved around the room to cover each other they would have had a decent chance. James' refusal to participate through the first quiet spot into total confusion and made it very difficult for the other two to complete the task.

I like James A, he has given a new dimension to the game (no traitor has ever played the game quite like him). I am surprised he didn’t get more heat from the other traitors but I think that is one of the issues with celebrity Traitors is that they care about their image and don’t want to be seen as “Mean or backstabbing”. I am sorry that Maya has been getting some negative comments, I actually think she was very fair minded about it. I would like the faithful to win, but think that is very tricky now.

James A, Romesh and others are showing us the very worst self indulgent trait of being an overpaid minimally talented self absorbed celebrity. Get over yourselves and get on with it FGS, it's pathetic. And meanwhile they don't seem to give a damn about raising money for their charities. As long as they get paid for turning up eh.

The real issue is James A isn’t noticing it’s ‘just a game’. One he signed up for and is getting paid well to play!

I was thinking the same, and can't help wondering whether there has been a change in the editing or production team members. There's no gossip, no manipulating, no backstabbing, no peril. Although it could of course be that they have sod all to work with!😁
