It’s good that’s it’s not like the one with Alan carr and Jonathan Ross who embraced being traitors with relish. Kenny is, but in a different way and Maya is lucky to be able to go under the radar.
The reluctant traitor is also a bit different.

PuppyMonkey · 23/10/2026 07:15

Actually I think James A being such a crap traitor is the ONLY thing keeping me watching this series. Grin

CaptainMyCaptain · 23/10/2026 07:13

HoldMyWine · 22/10/2026 22:30

If I was production crew I’d have kicked Acaster off. Hes spineless and a bore. He is spoiling the game for everyone else.

It's just different. Why would you expect every series to be the same? It would be too predictable.

Recklessismymiddlename · 23/10/2026 07:10

Is it the editing or just not as good as series 1? Spoiled by REG & James A, maybe as Traitors, I think the picking of those two has had a lot to do with it.
The mission last night was off as well.
James A.
A. Waste. Of. A. Traitor.

Mathair2 · 23/10/2026 07:01

I think Jerry had a good point about there being 3 traitors left, and the Faithful couldn't even come up with one name between them! Seems mad. The traitors will have to make a massive fumble to not win this one.

I kinda get where Joanne was coming from with Miranada although her tone and snappiness was a bit much, why say "oh I was going to say something about creeky floorboards beside me but now Im not" when everyone knows she was standing next to Joanne (or Maya who according to editing seems to be getting overlooked completely), I can see how Joanne felt it was throwing her under the bus a bit!

I thought Miranda and Romesh both looked like they've had enough in tonight's episode. And Bash hasnt made a huge impact.

double0seven · 23/10/2026 05:48

OsfameronTanamoril · 22/10/2026 23:15

I wonder if the Faithfuls will figure out that if Jerry and Ross are Faithfuls, likely at least one of the other two in the library were Traitors.
But they don't seem to have figured that out.

No because they're going down the road of Ross being intentionally murdered when in reality it was a chance murder. They are also presuming it was committed by touch or something he drank. They've dismissed Sharon and her theory especially James B who now suspects her !
Poor Michael Sheen, he's doing a David Olusoga, ( love him ) trying so hard and getting absolutely nowhere.

HoraceCope · 23/10/2026 05:44

no Acaster put the heat on Jerry at the table
he often manages to change the conversation i noticed

double0seven · 23/10/2026 05:31

Maggiethecat · 22/10/2026 20:33

James A is rubbish!

Agreed. Thought it was about raising money for charity. It doesn't really matter who wins/gets banished/murderd

Choux · 23/10/2026 04:58

Pingsung · 23/10/2026 01:08

That task was never going to work. How were the traitors supposed to select the correct pieces tip toe around and put the shield together in the time allowed.

Maybe the producers knew it wouldn’t work as a money accumulator. Perhaps the goal was to put the traitors under pressure and see how their traitor bond holds up. Plus create some new theories in the faithful about who might be a traitor.

The RT edit seemed to have been done so the outcome of Jerry being banished was a surprise to the viewer. I think any mention of Maya potentially being a traitor is also being edited out so viewers are surprised when she does get the full heat on her from the faithful. Which will inevitably come now the numbers are shrinking.

Lilypad34 · 23/10/2026 04:35

I think James A did the right thing and think all of the traitors should’ve sat this one out. I don’t like Joanne at all. Why aren’t they killing off Sharon?

Clafoutie · 23/10/2026 03:19

FluffyCat17 · 22/10/2026 22:42

I was hoping Leigh-Ann would defend herself a bit more robustly as Sheen was really going for her and she looked like she might even get upset, but then it suddenly didn’t matter because they all swung to Jerry. I agree the table edit was weird tonight.

Rosskemp on Uncloaked was certainly too full of his own sense of importance (am assuming he doesn’t actually broker the meets on his docu or plan any of the trips…he’s a presenter who got the gig due to portraying an East End thug). However kudos where it’s due for being the only person so far to mention Maya, IIRC.

At the beginning of the task I sympathised with James A for being nervous of having a go, but by the end I was yelling at him in frustration. It was quite a fun task to watch just because it was actually new and many of them are recycled every series. But Maya and Kenny really seemed to struggle.

Thursday nights are the best - we get to watch one and then not wait too long til it’s on again 🤣

Yes, it was good to have a mission that didn’t involve coffins and spooky death characters in hoods for a change!

the80sweregreat · 23/10/2026 02:25

Maya and Kenny need to ask James A what he couid see through the mask he didn’t take off. We didn’t hear the faithfuls talking to each other during the blindfold part , so maybe told not to ?

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 23/10/2026 01:31

Could traitors have taken two pieces?

Pingsung · 23/10/2026 01:08

That task was never going to work. How were the traitors supposed to select the correct pieces tip toe around and put the shield together in the time allowed.

James B lives in Ibiza, though

We have pink skin though...l meant...and I thought it was obvious but clearly not -- that a tan, if we are lucky enough to get one at all, makes us look hot and flushed.
We do not get that desirable honey/golden tan.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 23/10/2026 00:26

Nonnegotiables · 22/10/2026 23:15

I thought it was mean of Joanne and I wondered if Miranda didn’t mention Maya because of similar mean girl vibes/intimidation. Seems very odd that she would just talk to Joanne and not mention Maya on other side?

Weird how Maya doesn’t seem to ever get any attention from anyone.

Think James A got off lightly in the turret and think he’s a bit of a spoilsport and a wimp!

I think Maya must be getting mentioned but the producers are just not showing it yet. I think Maya is about to get heat on her. Same as James a, Sharon and Michael..

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 23/10/2026 00:18

Choux · 22/10/2026 21:05

But he’s now a confirmed faithful due to his hay fever so won’t be banished. He is smart too.

Maybe he made noise on purpose.

Were they allowed to talk when the traitors were given their time slot? Cause I'm thinking the faithful could have just started speaking their names and that would let the others know who they were and roughly where. Of a traitor was halfway around the room they'd be caught out!

novalia89 · 22/10/2026 23:59

OsfameronTanamoril · 22/10/2026 20:54

oh no

One this that Jerry Hall said is correct though, she said that there are three traitors and they only name one. I always think that, that they focuss to much one ONE traitor rather than look at a strategy of 3. Although that's more difficult.

newrubylane · 22/10/2026 23:52

Overall, there is a distinct lack of logical thinking going on in there. Obviously we are being much more directed on what is relevant, but I still think they are making so many faulty assumptionsnand building on them.

Joanne masks her own insecurities by being loud and abrasive and trying to make others feel insecure. It's a personality type that always really grates on me.

I think Sharon and Miranda are by far the most dangerous Faithfuls and need to go sooner rather than later. I'd murder Miranda and point the finger at Joanne. (Not just because I'm not a fan).

Kenny is playing a blinder. His attempts to bamboozle them by being loud during the mission were inspired. And I think Maya is very measured and good at gently steering the chat. James A was really rubbish in the mission, but it was nice to see him trying to contribute more in the turret at least. But Maya and Kenny might need to hang him out to dry at some point, I think.

newrubylane · 22/10/2026 23:35

User451278 · 22/10/2026 22:53

I like Joanne but agree with this.
I don't know if its how it is edited but Joanne seems nice in her podcast. Apart from being quick with quips, when she and Vogue answer listener's questions, they are both really balanced and nice.
I'm going to assume its the editing as well as Joanne being very loud. The other thing is when people are loud at the round tables, it means fewer people are likely to put their name forward as they don't want it to get uncomfortable.
Miranda shouldn't have backed down if she believed Joanne was a traitor, which she obviously still does think that as she chatted to Leigh Anne about it.
Miranda was quite forceful at other round tables so the whole thing was edited badly (again) and we didn't see the full thing.

Do you think they try not to show people too negatively? My guess is they do?

Jerry made me laugh when she insisted James B was a traitor as his face is always so red. Nope that is what pink, pasty people who live in a wet and cold climate look like :)

I think James A broke the 'Traitors Code' and should be removed from the show.

James B lives in Ibiza, though

I wonder if the Faithfuls will figure out that if Jerry and Ross are Faithfuls, likely at least one of the other two in the library were Traitors.
But they don't seem to have figured that out.

Most of them just don't seem very bright. I think it was interesting that when they spoke about Sharon on Uncloaked Jessie made a point of saying that she wasn't listened to either.

User451278 · 22/10/2026 23:21

murasaki · 22/10/2026 23:13

I very much see it as a tactical apology rather than a genuine one. But hey ho!

As an aside, I tend to think performative apologies are stupid . It's a TV show, there's another episode tomorrow everyone moves on, but by apologising she's made it a bigger deal than it was. You see it all the time. Foolish.

She didn't apologise. She said she was embarrassed by it.

On an aside, they are all professionals, they are all aware of the cameras and they are all performing in the castle. This is precisely the reason the celebrity round tables are so different from the .civilian. round tables.

RoxieLoxy · 22/10/2026 23:19

The blindfold task is such a gamble isn’t it. There’s a reasonable chance that some of them can see a tiny bit of light from the bottom of the blindfold. The only way they definitely couldn’t is to cover their noses with the blindfolds as well so that they’re more flat and fully block out the light.

So they’d just need to tilt their heads up to see who is moving around the room.

I don’t get why the producers would take such a risk. I think they should have had blindfolds plus them all facing the wall.

Maggiethecat · 22/10/2026 23:17

murasaki · 22/10/2026 23:05

Hmm. Maybe. But I've seen her on several other shows and got the same vibe.

But this is so big, she apologised in case it affects her career...

I’m with you on this.

It wasn’t just snapping at Miranda (whom I like but disagreed with her backing down and debunking the floorboard theory).

It was also post RT when she walked in on Sharon and Miranda who looked very guilty at seeing her. Her comment about Miranda making a good politician was unnecessary.
