For someone so young I find him shockingly adept at his manipulation.

This will be entrenched too, whether from the manosphere or his upbringing, he clearly functions in a way that needs to treat Rhianna like this. I don't imagine this is the only time he has behaved like this.

I’ve edited. He is, as you say, extremely skilled at manipulation.

WallaceinAnderland · 20/10/2026 15:15

I'm glad they showed it for so many reasons, not least that Rhianna will know that we all saw what she saw, she was not imagining it. But BB should have spoken to Omar and put him in another room for the night.

I see on that Reddit thread someone said Philip is nasty when he drinks. Is this why he isn't drinking in the house?

FreeTheOakTree · 20/10/2026 15:14

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 15:09

Omar is in for a shock when he leaves the house. I don’t condone his behaviour at all but I do worry how things get so amplified and whipped into hysteria. Yes, he needs to learn and know he’s in the wrong but he’s still so young. I don’t want to see his life ruined any more than I want Rhianna hurt by this. I suspect once she’s out and away from him she’ll be fine, though.

edited to say. I’ve just seen some of his press re getting arrested and spitting some misogynistic rhymes. I suppose I was just thinking of giving him the benefit of the doubt that he doesn’t realise how bad his behaviour is, but he probably is a Tate supporter.

Also I’d forgotten what he said in his VT about wanting lots of wives, so yeah. Fuck him.

Edited

I really think that Rhianna is sticking with Omar, and staying with him/by him even though he is being horribly abusive and manipulative, gaslighting her and all, because she very likely has been fortunate enough to not experience this behaviour from a man before

Yes, @LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway, I think those of us who have fallen foul to this type of controlling, abusive behaviour didn't know what we were navigating. I remember bending myself out of natural shape to be accommodating and understanding, often apologizing too. I had done absolutely nothing wrong but these men are so skilled at manipulation and they sniff out those who are either naive, vulnerable or both. They know who they can chip away at and it's a real challenge to do it with accomplished women, chip chipping chipping away..

I was significantly older than Rhianna, having spent my 20s studying and travelling. I had never heard of the term red flag. These abusers cross culture, religion, class, education.. they are all collectively skilled at behaving in the same way and their tactics are text book.

We know so much more now. This is why last night was such difficult viewing.

So she doesn't know how to navigate it, or what she should be doing/how she should be behaving... Also... she's kind of trapped in there at the moment.

I have to say, and I mean this, if this was my daughter, I would be doing my level best to get Rhianna out of the house. I would NOT want her near this young man for another single day. Surely her family are seeing what is going on, why are her family not intervening? She is so young. (Only just turned 22.) She has a privileged life too, and I wouldn't imagine she has experienced many bad things. So, as I say, she is very likely struggling with how to deal with this.

TellingBone · 20/10/2026 14:48

Usual guff about welfare and respect training and safeguarding, monitoring 24 hours and inappropriate behaviour will be dealt with blah blah

Sorry - can't post a copy but it's a fudge. The situation is increasing viewing figures, top and bottom of it.

Itv/Bb have issued a statement about Omar apparently

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 13:32

There’s another nominations twist this week and in the sneak peek Sam looks really pissed off. Rochelle being a fucking bully about Twinks again. Horrible woman.

TarraDiddles · 20/10/2026 13:23

I felt so sad for Rhianna watching and listening to the coercive, controlling manipulation by Omar. It was awful! Poor girl, apologising over and over again when she has done nothing wrong. Not one of the other housemates confronted his behaviour and when Rhianna was called into the diary room, she has no concept of what is happening to her. For BB to simply ask 'are you okay?' is not good enough. No, she was not okay and needed somebody, preferably BB, to step in to protect her and to stop Omar having anything to do with her.

What part of him, a very young man, thinks it is okay to treat women this way? All the others are bystanders but looking the other way. It is very disturbing.

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 13:18

Re Lynx, someone said something about him being best mates with Josh Molnar so I went looking, and he apparently made some social media comment like ‘he got off with it’. Can’t unsee that.

Also agree he just doesn’t care about any of the others. That said he really is so glaringly fence-sitting with his comments in conversations. He won’t win so I suppose it doesn’t matter that he’ll coast to the final.

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 13:10

JasmineMac · 20/10/2026 08:38

Omar presents as someone who is unapologetically patriarchal. Why might that be? Is this the norm amongst young men now?

It is if you’re part of the Mandem. (He’s referred to them before.)

GaaNeen · 20/10/2026 13:02

Yes, the youngest and one of the most vulnerable due to being a late arrival and near bottom of the pecking order - Cat is being the strongest at recognising and calling out Omar’s abusive behaviour -
The old lags - R and P too far up their own arses to support a young and vulnerable woman - R by stepping in,
Yasmin, who usually has plenty to say seems content to see the abuse as entertainment not concerning ….
only Cat and increasingly Twinks is calling it out ….
really hope They don’t gloss over this on the after show, Kate Lawler has been increasingly showing her dislike of Omar and his abuse, but it’s obvious that they aren’t allowed to be very clear on that - Lee Pearlt was fab !!

therockingbird · 20/10/2026 12:29

Interestingly they talked about it on the chat show after and none of them (rightly so) was comfortable with it. I strongly suspect he will be marched off today - the volume of complaints alone will have BB very worried. I have no doubt her own parents are seething mad. I would have expected more of Lynx - he should have stepped in and said something. Cat is trying her best to make him see sense and get the dominant male on her side bless her. I won’t be able to watch anymore this evening if it’s allowed to continue.

The Omar to Rihanna behaviour is scary stuff ..
clearly coercive behaviour -
I wonder how big brothers duty of care team will handle this …
they should have given her a separate room for sleeping last night, it was painful seeing her bat into bed with her abuser …

I wondered if they offered her the opportunity to sleep in a separate room last night but she said no because she wanted to make up with him.

Just speculating obviously. If so they didn't show that part of the conversation.

I don’t love Lynx but neither do I dislike him. He isn’t standing up for much or showing much of his true self it seems. He must have opinions! Still it’s not a crime to be quiet about them and coast to the final.

LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway · 20/10/2026 10:48

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 05:12

Also agree that lynx is just playing the game. When the others are bitching to him he does his best to seem like he’s agreeing with them yet says very neutral things - a bit like: ‘oh really? That’s intense. Not good.’ Etc. He’s a big old fakey fakerson and will coast to the final.

Yeah, I've never really got the love for Lynx (from some) and find him a bit boring and a bit annoying and just not that great really. I don't inherently dislike him, but I don't like him either.

He did look great in the skin tight Superhero suit though. 😆

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 10:47

HurdyGurdy19 · 20/10/2026 08:10

I've seen a thread on Facebook about Omar's behaviour towards Rihanna, and many people have said they'd complained to Ofcom, because BB showed it.

Extrapolate that across other FB posts, and other social media, and Ofcom are going to be busy today!

Personally, I think they were right to show it. It will hopefully open up discussions around acceptable and unacceptable behaviour within relationships.

I think Omar is in for a tough time after BB though.

As is Philip, going by the Reddit link shared by @RapunzelHadExtensions

This really annoys me when people start trying to censor what was shown. They are right to show it. Why should Omar’s vile behaviour go unchecked - as it would if we hadn’t seen it.

ConstantlyFuriosa · 20/10/2026 10:46

FreeTheOakTree · 20/10/2026 08:00

If I were Rhianna's mother, I would want her out of the house immediately. I would have used my money and clout to have her removed and then gone public on why. It is chilling viewing and insidious in its build up - that we can all see, but she cannot.

'your feelings aren't facts' is an expression designed to remove her own sense of reality and agency. I hope he gets booted out next. I loathe him and his moronic gangster boy voice and turn of phrase.

Twix is being treated horribly. She didn't waver when offered the 30 seconds (unlike the selfish princess) and then to see the reactions of the clique must have been really crushing, only for Phillip to do the same not only shows it's every man and woman for themselves, but a widespread hostility towards her. I don't like watching it and think this is one of the nastiest houses for years.

Lynx is the most calculating and would compromise his gran to get to the final.

Harry (his politics aside) does seem the sweetest person in there.

Sorry to say that I find Yasmin a little gross.

Current position: Can't stand any of them.

Agree with this especially stupid wannabe gangster/andrew Tate Omar. And the treatment of twinks is verging on bullying.

HurdyGurdy19 · 20/10/2026 09:41

I just remembered something from an earlier programme. At least, I think this is what I remember.

Twinks was talking to Omar about Loius Theroux's programne about the manosphere, and she said he should watch it.

He said (paraphrasing) that he didn't need to, and that he'd started watching it, but fell asleep, as it was only LT getting thrown out of places.

I wonder if he did watch it and found it uncomfortable viewing, but couldn't relate what he was seeing on screen, to his own outlook and behaviour.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt, Omar.

FreeTheOakTree · 20/10/2026 09:40

But with the Omar thing, as a man I think his ambivalence is concerning. His comments of ‘it can’t be that bad or she wouldn’t still be with him’ and ‘if they’re back in bed together that’s good enough for me’ show a lack of understanding about toxic/ abusive dynamics. Almost victim blamey. I mean I agree it’s v frustrating she went back to Omar but she’s young and naive and it’s hardly a normal environment in there. To me, it’s disappointing when other men don’t recognise and challenge mistreatment of women by other men and lynx shrugging his shoulders is pretty lame, especially when they’re all living in the same house

With Lynx, I think it is even more basic; he doesn't care. His is very single minded in his quest to win, and so I think he literally treats everyone else as noisy obstacles. Even his cooking is a solo activity he uses as a mindful task because his determination is all about getting to the finish line. I know that is most HM's goals too, but what stands out to me is that aside from the kerfuffle with Jedward, Lynx seems steelily in control.

bumblenbean · 20/10/2026 09:31

I really can’t abide Twinks but I think Philip and Rochelle are being exceptionally nasty to her. The whispering, smirks and muttered comments are bordering on bullying. They were mocking her about her response to the time task but we all know they would’ve kicked off if she’d taken the extra minutes. As the two oldest housemates they’re the most childish and spiteful of the lot!

bumblenbean · 20/10/2026 09:29

I think lynx’s response to Cat sharing concerns about Omar is quite telling. As someone said, he very much just makes the right noises when someone has an issue but doesn’t actually give an opinion or offer advice. He’s desperate not to jeopardise his chances of getting to the end and seems to be keeping his head down after the Jedward drama.
