Yes, that is the predictable part of this show, every year.

What I didn't understand was how the women whittled down to 1 while all the guys had 2 girls. Some of the guys we didn't see must have been completely shocking!

Ok, have watched the latest three episodes. I really really want Michaela and Rob to work out, they do seem well matched and Rob’s mum is a star.
Cam and Aneha will not work out. She is a bit much and how does she seriously expect things to succeed when her parents won’t even meet Cam. Cam knows this already.
Erika and Blake are well matched but their lifestyles are just too different. Sad but I can’t see either of them completely upending their lives to be with the other one.
Wilson and Wilnie are not harmonious together. Unfortunately I dont think they’ll last.
Sarah and John - hmmm I think the edit is foreshadowing what’s about to come. He does seem as if he’s simmering with some underlying anger and misogyny. She’s such a lovely person but I feel really uncomfortable about him.
it’s an awkward group of couples for sure this season. I suppose that happens!

Is John the Christian with MS? I haven't seen the last few but in the pods I also got a bad vibe from him. I worry he just wants kids before he dies and has found a nurse who is prepared to take him on. He didn't like it when she challenged his bigotry in the pods but seemed to let it slide for the cameras, so I suspect he will unveil his real opinions on honeymoon.

I have noticed the men often seem to say 'me too.' So much, when the women something about themselves!

Hello, I'd like to join you all! first time watching LIB, already hooked! Just starting the first episode which dropped earlier today- I've noticed how all of the women who had a guy pick between two women are completely fawning over the guy they're with for reassurance... It's making me look at my own internalised misogyny and hoping I don't do that myself. Wilson is not into Wilnie at all, you can completely tell. I feel like he's in it just to see how he gets on in the show. Or maybe he likes her a bit and he's wanting more of a slow burn than rushing straight in like she is. He said something along the lines of 'in the pods you're connecting with this soul and then having to adjust to the physical person', so he's definitely not carried that feeling with him out of the pods and she has.

I really don't understand how you could say you're in love with someone after two weeks of chats though- do they just fall in love with the idea of love? I'd love a psychologist to come and do a real explanation of it all.

When I did online dating for the first time I met up with someone after way too many weeks of chatting with video calls and texts because of being a single mum, but it was like meeting a totally different person and I had the ick straight away, but they still had all the feels for me. I had to get to know them all over again from scratch, it felt like.

I cannot believe Jax has dumped Stew. How awful. He is lovely.

im curious about the gold ‘glasses’. Presumably every bar and restaurant in Boston doesn’t use these rather specific cups, so it must be a choice by the producers, I wonder why?

I have read the gold glasses are so they can alter the order filing is shown and the drink level in the glass is not shown. This seems very devious and manipulative to me!

I thought he was good looking too at first, admittedly. Then he opened his mouth and became materialistic, ego driven and defined women as objects to be secured rather than partners and the scales fell. Massive ick. Jax wasn't much better but at least she had had some real relationships. I actually thought they might be quite suitable as both vain, arrogant and money driven.

It is so interesting watching these and being on these threads to see how people see red flags or not! It is a good thing the world is made up of all sorts I guess.

Interesting, I figured it was something about hiding the drink and wondered if it was to do with laws around showing alcohol on tv, but makes sense it would be for continuity. I think they should splash out on some different designs of glasses for different settings though! 😄

I think Jax was right to follow her instinct and drop out (though it was a bit harsh on him to disappear without explanation!) - she didn’t find him attractive and clearly felt stressed about continuing the process and leading him on in the circumstances.
I think her friends have got in her ear encouraging her just to ‘give it a go’ and enjoy the wild ride of being on the show, but I don’t think her hearts in it.

oh I just got to the end of the available episodes, darn! Never watched love is blind before, can you recommend any other memorable seasons for me to binge? Is the uk version good?

I can't fathom Erika, she's 35, said she wants 3 or 4 kids (!!) And she's linked to a guy he said he wants kids in 5 years!!

Erika and Sarah I feel picked really badly. I don't like Blake, his eye contact is off. His drunken (I hope) weird rant at Erika was some weird test of how badly he could speak to her and she allowed it.

It is still confusing to me how few men we saw and how many women only had 1 to pick while the men had 2 or 3.

The only guy I did like was Cam but I also think there is likely more to his "I made a woman a dress then we just never hooked up" story. He seems nicest and most open minded so far. The woman he picked is a total nightmare and her demand for him to have a shitlid hair cut, piercings and tattoos completely ruined their engagement - so rude! She seemed to be very looks based whereas he seemed to want a cultural side.
