Wow, we got through the last thread pretty quickly! (Again!)

So Betsy is still recovering from her stroke, Debbie's condition (dementia) is getting worse.

Tim and Sally still have Tim's cousin Ross's daughter Lucy in their care as Ross killed his wife - Lucy's mother, and is in prison... Or so we have been lead to believe. There's a question mark over whether Ross did kill Lucy's mum at the moment, (or if it was Lucy!) after Lucy spoke to her dad the other night and said 'what if they found out what I did!' Sally is struggling with Lucy, especially after she threw her phone at Sally and hit her in the face.

Sarah is still in prison, (for killing Theo,) and hasn't had her trial yet. She has finished with Kit, who went on to sleep with her daughter Bethany!

Bernie's aunt (Celeste) who was trying to get Todd to do a funeral for her, died a few weeks ago, but not before dropping the bombshell that she has breast cancer, and Bernie may have the gene. So may Gemma and the quads, and Kit, and Brody...

Kit was tested. He has breast cancer. He is devastated - (naturally.)

Carl has just got a job in the cab office.

Probably missed some stuff!

I mentioned this in the last thread, but I can't remember if Todd did ever do Celeste's funeral by the way... She's been dead nearly 4 weeks now. I don't think they've mentioned her funeral for about 3 weeks. And I definitely don't remember them doing it.......

The baby will probably be 36" long at birth, leaving little doubt as to who the dad is.

😂

Ross is grim isn’t he! Tracy and him do deserve each other.

zanahoria · 20/10/2026 19:11

Even Idris can turn on the charm to fool people, Ross is just relentlessly grim.

I don't like any scenes with Ross in. He makes me feel a bit queezy.

Even bad guys need to be rounded characters.

He has no redeeming features whatsoever just the sort of grubby boorish bloke that you would avoid like the plague

TheSunIsAlwaysThere · 20/10/2026 18:53

When you've all watched tonight's, can we discuss what happened with the nurse? IMO shit scriptwriters again.

I don’t watch Emmerdale , but I saw something about a baby on the front of tv magazines !
Ross actor is good as you really dislike him and he plays it well.

Bethany will probably have post natal depression or something wrong with the baby and then it’ll come out it’s Kit’s child. Will she tell Sarah it’s Ryan’s baby ? They never fess up straight off, be surprised if she does

They surely can't make more of a pig's ear of it than the recent Emmerdale Charity/Sarah baby fiasco......

....or can they? 🙄👶

They do tend to pick and up and drop off stories a lot.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, if they put some depth into the happenings and made the relevant ones part of the characters' everyday lives they wouldn't need quite so many pointless, sometimes nonsensical, plot twists/storylines/fillers.

They should be doing something with Bethany's stoma and pregnancy, at least giving it a bloody mention. Same with all the other things that they choose to ignore whilst bulldozing in yet another crime borefest.

And if they didn't change script writers so often...

I quite enjoyed the Alina and Tyrone romance plus Fizzy and Phill. My phone prefers Fizzy to fizz.

the80sweregreat · 20/10/2026 17:22

Definitely! The baby is bound to be in intensive care for ages as it keeps casting a baby on the back burner until it can come out and be put in the back room to fend for itself.

zanahoria · 20/10/2026 17:20

SabreIsMyFave · 20/10/2026 17:00

Yeah, I think stomas can be reversible, but nothing has ever been mentioned of Bethany's being reversed. Are they hoping we will all forget she ever had a stoma? Confused

They need an episode where she tells someone it was reversed and Tyrone can announce that Alina has died.

zanahoria · 20/10/2026 17:18

Dt Gaddas needs to warn Bethany that her baby will need to spend at least six months in Weathy General after it is born

sorryIdidntmeanto · 20/10/2026 17:16

Alya can help Idris buy land because she read a book about law three years ago and now she is a lawyer specialising in everything who works from a café.

the80sweregreat · 20/10/2026 17:13

Jodie is bound to show up close to Halloween!

thenightsky · 20/10/2026 17:10

I wonder who will bring it up that it’ll be a complex pregnancy?

Like Shona's, now forgotten, along with baby 'arper.

I remember a scene in the hairdressers where Bethany told Hope that she was ok now. I presume she was refering to her stoma disappearing, even though I'm sure it was supposed to be permanent. There's certainly no sign of it anymore and she's ditched the baggy t shirts infavour of crop tops.

Just watched tonight's episode. It's quite a good one, with a few good laughs. Like Corrie of old.

I don’t know much about Bethany’s background, but she always walks around with such a long face and seems a bit vanilla. She’s only young.
I know it’s awkward for her now with the baby and a stoma which won’t help the long face !
I wonder who will bring it up that it’ll be a complex pregnancy?

This, absolutely. 👏

the80sweregreat · 20/10/2026 15:27

The Daniel saving the land thing has the capacity to be very boring indeed. No doubt Ken will write a stiff letter on cardboard ( as my old mum used to say )
