Skirt https://www.marksandspencer.com/faux-leather-midi-wrap-skirt/p/clp61268242?color=Black&intid=mobileapppdpshare
Fit is amazing
feel amazing
looks really expensive.

But if I wore it with black tights, would it look weird ? if I wore it with knee boots would it break up the whole split thing so I think I have to work with heels and then what on my legs?

Do they still make 'Barely Black' tights? If so, a pair of those in a low denier might be a good choice.

Yes, I find stuff is sometimes online in the middle of the night. It's very rewarding.

I asked to be notified when size 10 is back in stock and haven't received anything. I also checked just now and they are still out of stock. How did you find a size 10?! I'm jealous.

Oh really? I just went online and one was available. Maybe their online system is a bit iffy. I will see if skirt appears or not!

Thank you op! I have caved and bought this (size tens are back in stock). Works with so many things, for work and err, after work. I’m going sheer black tights and most likely boots of various heights given the weather.

Bare legs in winter? Nah.

Don’t wear tans, just fake tan your legs. No one wears tights anymore
@iCod

Lol. Maybe you don't work where you have to spend some time outside in January, February and March

This is such bollocks. I’ve been in London, Birmingham, Cambridge, Bristol and Liverpool recently. Plenty of tights being worn in all of them.

66 here. Your outfit reminds me of what I wore in '79: black pencil skirt, sheer black spotty 'stay-up' [No, they didn't!] stockings, white satin blouse with frilly collar; black corduroy blazer with a bit of padding in the shoulders. Big hair and clutch bag.

I was 5ft 9, 9 stone 2lbs and I thought I was fat. sigh

I thought it was just me for whom they didn’t stay up. Was it everyone?

I agree with all the comments suggesting a sheer black tight and an ankle boot or heel.

AbraCaStabYa · 25/10/2026 01:11

I don't understand how people wear tights, am I doing it wrong? I find that the toes get bunched up into a point which is already uncomfortable and then on top of that you stick them into heels which force your extra slippery foot to constantly slide to the front of the shoe. Is this just a me problem or does anybody else have this issue? I've only ever been able to wear footless tights but usually I skip them, even in winter.

You were and are still amazing !!….how did we allow ourselves to feel so bad because we weren’t 8 stone .
We were winning at life !!!

I was 8 stone and remember wearing a T shirt over my bikini on holiday to hide my fat.

I am buying this even though I am almost 60 and had something similar in the 80s .At that time I wore with sheer spot tights ,stilletos and green satin wrap blouse with padded shoulders .Big hair and a clutch bag containing gas tongs and a massive can of hairspray .

Today will be opaque black tights ,fine ivory coloured cashmere jumper ,Black pointy shoes with block heels, bouncy blow dry and a statement earring 😎

Just remembered ,I also mixed it up sometimes with those body suits with poppers in the crotch ,and a pink silk jacket .Not sure I would still have the necessary agility required to retrieve the back bit of the body suit ,wrench it through my legs and snap it shut confidently.
This would most likely end up with it coming undone, and working its way up towards my boobs ,revealing fat bits and pasty (almost )pensioner skin above fabulous skirt …..eeeugh !!
No one wants to see that !!!

😂
Why did body suits have such tiny little presstuds?
The last time I wore one (looong ago) i needed to put my glasses on so i could judge wher the press met the stud. I was bending right over, in a public loo, my glasses fell off onto the less than hygenic floor, so I just managed to snap one shut.
The rest of the night was spent with me trying to maneuvre what now felt like a g-string out of my crotch.

iCod · 24/10/2026 17:04

I agree the styling with the white shirt looks terrible like that

Skin tone tights.

And then obviously, elbow length leather gloves, sunglasses and a visible bra. Really OP the photo of the model is showing you exactly what's needed here 😂

Grin Grin

HowHaveYouFoundThis · 24/10/2026 14:11

What I don't like it with is a white shirt, ruins the look

HowHaveYouFoundThis · 24/10/2026 14:08

Hey cod nice to see you back, I think let the skirt be the star of the show so everything else plain, nude tights, black stilletos and fitted bodysuit tight top

AccidentalKiwi · 24/10/2026 13:16

iCod · 21/10/2026 21:11

OOH KIWI.
she's wearing if before its even cold. That's thrilling.

She was! And she was very quick to share that it was ‘just’ from M&S 😊

iCod · 24/10/2026 08:15

@Holidaymodeon yeah, they sound unusual
