I made a new thread as the other one consisted mainly of July/August claims. Feel free to insert scan date for the above months and whether it’s a new claim or MR and update when you have been awarded ! Good Luck 🤞🏽
NC - new claims
MR - mandatory reconsideration
SD - scan date se

OH WOW!! Our claim form is finally with a Decision Maker. Scan date 10th August. I could cry. Obviously no outcome yet, but at least it’s finally with someone.

Scan date 19/08 decision made yesterday got through to a lovely person who told me my son aged 6 had been denied due to no diagnosis so I’ve done an MR over phone and stated that dla is not about diagnosis and it goes on care needs which my son needs a significant level of care and supervision and that they didn’t read through the evidence properly as I send physio therapy letters. Paediatrics letters, orthotics, proof of nurturing course completion certificate and sleep course certificate.

good luck everyone

This is shocking if you sent all that in, and as you say it's not about diagnosis. I'm worried now!

My scan date is 18th August. They told me it’s around 12 weeks for a decision and I have seen on Facebook a lot of people being awarded around 11-12 weeks

My scan date is 18th too and based on what I’ve read and the conversation I had on the phone with DLA on Wednesday, I’m hoping for a decision by the end of the month! Fingers crossed!

Hi Ladies Please help! If anybody could give me advice that would be great. I’m currently filling out my son’s dla renewal. Well I’ve been doing it over a few days. However I’m getting really anxious and upset over it. The question where it asks you has there been any change in their health condition I have put yes and written extra info on a separate piece of paper. But I feel I be not give enough information. I’m just worried about it all not being in order. So anything I feel I’ve missed can I do at the end? For example, I was going to do a summary of all his needs at the end of the form in a serrated piece of paper. Will they accept this?

It’s such a horrible long wait, a constant fight to just get the help our kids need :( I cant even start my sons renewal for February until I hear back about my daughters because just too much in the brain lol

It really is! Its so hard😔 i hope you hear soon! Keep us posted! Xxx

OpenNavyKoala · 22/10/2026 17:19

Mum2179 · 22/10/2026 17:18

Fingers crossed the wait and the not knowing is horrible. I applied for a bus pass for my son and they told me no, despite the fact hes in a wheelchair! And can't walk for more than a minute before experiencing pain of some sort!!!
