DLA WAIT TIMES 2026 - AUG/SEPT/OCT

I made a new thread as the other one consisted mainly of July/August claims. Feel free to insert scan date for the above months and whether it’s a new claim or MR and update when you have been awarded ! Good Luck 🤞🏽

Fingers crossed for us all waiting. My first time filling a DLA form and my god it is mentally taxing!!!

Im 10 days behind you ❤️ long wait for us yet 😂

Next few months are mega busy for us as a house hold thankfully I shouldn't have much time to obsess over the outcome 🙏🤣

SD 05/08 called today and had the same answer i previously had, really vague no decision has been made yet refused to tell me if it was with a case worker/ DM sure it was the same women i got last week. So it just seems like there has been no progress at all. I added in a diagnosis letter, statement from TA, appointment letter, safeguarding email to all school staff regarding vision impairment.

Finally got through, still on a queue to be assigned to a case manager, which I'm assuming is the same as a decision maker?

Im not sure, I had a phone call from them on the 14/09 to confirm my details and he said they it was being passed on to case worker so im not 100% sure xx

My scan date is 21/8 I really want to chase but I don’t understand how their timescales work, I might try and wait a couple of weeks

Thank you, an hour on hold and still waiting. Hoping they answer in the next half an hour, I need to go out at 4 😬

10/8 so around the right timeframe for things to hopefully be moving a bit

I wish I was brave enough to call for my scan date of 13/08 I feel like I'll just be awaiting a decline letter at this rate as my 7 year old is high masking at school 🫣 though I have evidence from swimming lessons and ecfs worker witnessing her unmasking within the home so trying to stay hopeful 🥴

Im tempted to ring my scan date is the same as yours. Cxx

scan date 7/8, called today with decision maker but I forgot to put my nationality and relationship to my child on the form! Sent off both our birth certificates just now, fingers crossed they get scanned fast and claim is approved!

Exactly! I stated on the MR that the decision maker clearly didn’t look at the forms or evidence properly and that they just saw no diagnosis. My opinion it’s been rushed but there’s been a lot of claims denied yet solid evidence to back it up. Hopefully mr has a good outcome with someone else looking at it🙏🏼 x

So update on my scan date 5/8
the decision maker has contacted my sons school, claim is on hold until they’ve spoken…and it’s blooming half term!!! Just my luck! 🤪

OH WOW!! Our claim form is finally with a Decision Maker. Scan date 10th August. I could cry. Obviously no outcome yet, but at least it’s finally with someone.
