Ahh ok what did you ask them when you called. I called on the 19th and was told was still in queue. Women was a bit arsy lol 😂 scared to ring again! X congrats by the way!! X

I rung telling them my post wasn’t very good at the moment and could I make sure I was receiving text notifications and she took me through security and then told me it had been awarded (and when it was awarded until) and what the backdated amount would be and the ongoing payment dates.

I just called them. Option 4 at the final stage. And she said it had been awarded today.

SD 10/08

awarded today 22/10

LRC and LRM.

Relived but at the same time I’m a bit disappointed as I was expecting higher rate for the care component.

I think it’s 4 on the very last menu (at the point when 2 is something to do with checking the status of a current claim).

Okay thankyou, will try call later see if I can check about texts then xx

Congratulations! I think you can just report it in your journal for universal credit but you might want to wait for the award letter so you can let them know the date to backdate the payment to and so you can show them the award.

If you're spending 35 hours or more on your child's care needs you can also apply for the carer element (this isn't the same as carer's allowance).

Really pleased for you, it's such a relief isn't it x

Thank you, it is such a relief. I have done this but can only back date until 1st sept anyway as that's when our universal credit account was opened. We've been back dated to 1st July they told me over the phone

I sent our forms on 21st June, they sent a message on 1st July to say they'd received the application.

Still not heard anything 🤔

I called again today. First person super grumpy and after giving names and DOB she made a few grunts and I suddenly went on hold - the next person picked up the phone and told me I was speaking to the winter fuel allowance team!

Anyway, after being sent back again to a new person, I was told they were "awaiting a reference number to be assigned before the decision can be finalised", but it sounds like a decision had been made. Anyone encountered this before / know what this might mean? I'm curious if they would create a reference number if the decision was no...

Just ring and ask if text notifications are on and then whilst you're there ask if any update! Click option 4 near the end rather than 2

Good tip. I pressed 2 at the end yesterday and they were pleasant but useless 🙈
They will have an influx of us calling requesting text confirmations 😂

Hopefully! I called two weeks ago today and they told me it was in the queue awaiting a decision maker.. surely it should’ve been looked at by now😩🤞🏻

Sorry, I meant this to Nhsworkingmummy.
hopefully you hear soon Mummyto3bx.

I didn't get a text as notifications weren't turned on, that's what I called to ask. She then said decision was made already and told me
