We have had ARFID since 19 months so now risk of malnutrition. Currently 9 years old and diagnosed with ARFID.

Also now diagnosed with Dyspraxia, Autism, anxiety, social anxiety and ongoing care and mobility needs. Has an EHCP and multiple professional input.

But I’m still stressing it’s not enough 😢

I’m sure we will both hear something soon xx

I know how you feel and I have been impacted mentally from it all to as my ex husband hasn’t seen my daughter for 3 years and had no contact whatsoever as he couldn’t even cope with having her every other weekend and blamed me for the way she was saying she was just naughty! but I’ve put everything into getting her the help she needs and getting closer to diagnosis now to give her the support she needs desperately, she’s 11 and I still sleep with her every night due to the anxiety she has but I’m all she’s got and I will be here for her always ❤️

Thank you so much. It’s been years of fighting for my child. To the detriment of health but we are hoping we can finally get an outcome.

When I applied in 2023 I was declined as I hadn’t explained enough in the form and had very little evidence or professional input. However 3 years on the form was full and had 20 supporting documents. My concern now is it’ll still be a decline 😢

Mayby some of them can’t see what decision has been made don’t worry . Iam sure it was awarded . I still Weiting and feel very anxious I only send SLT report and my own care to my son . I worry it won’t be positive as not enough of evidence

SD 11/8/26 Decision maker called Thursday to go through night time needs etc and said she will be making decision that day, called yesterday and lady confirmed decision was made Thursday but wouldn’t give me decision over phone. I sent hospital letter for hearing loss, a long EHCP assessment and audhd referral letter but worried it’s a decline 😞

I was told it was with a decision maker at the end of September and when I contacted a few weeks later, it wasn’t. I genuinely don’t think they can see anything on their screens other than “received” and “decision made”

SC 24/7 still heard nothing.

I have rang DLA yesterday and they say to me that they can’t see anymore if is with DM , so is confusing , that they give you guys some sort of information . Scan date 12/08 no news at all . Anyone in similar situation ?

So update on my scan date 5/8
the decision maker has contacted my sons school, claim is on hold until they’ve spoken…and it’s blooming half term!!! Just my luck! 🤪

OH WOW!! Our claim form is finally with a Decision Maker. Scan date 10th August. I could cry. Obviously no outcome yet, but at least it’s finally with someone.

Scan date 19/08 decision made yesterday got through to a lovely person who told me my son aged 6 had been denied due to no diagnosis so I’ve done an MR over phone and stated that dla is not about diagnosis and it goes on care needs which my son needs a significant level of care and supervision and that they didn’t read through the evidence properly as I send physio therapy letters. Paediatrics letters, orthotics, proof of nurturing course completion certificate and sleep course certificate.

Thanks hun I’m calling again now. Don’t know what to say haha as only called Monday but seeing loads of people getting decisions and being told on the phone xx

Scan date 6/8. Received money in my bank account this morning for what I’m assuming is 10 weeks MRC. When they write to you do they tell you their thinking for the award? My son has 2 conditions and I’m interested to see if one weighted more heavily than the other
