DLA Mandatory Reconsideration wait 2026

Thought I’d start a separate thread for anyone currently waiting on a DLA Mandatory Reconsideration, as most of the wait-time threads seem to be mainly new claims and renewals.

I’m currently waiting on an MR requested 6 July and thought it might be useful to compare timelines with others waiting or who have recently had a decision.
If you’re happy to share, please include your MR date, whether/when you’ve heard from a decision maker, or called and had an update of status, and your decision date/outcome when you get one.
Hopefully we can get an idea of roughly where they’re up to 😊

I will do still nothing as of yet. It’s harder to find MRs have seen a few June decisions on Facebook. I’m just scared it’s going to be another decline now 😩 🤞for you too xx

How likely is it to get accepted after a refusal? My 6 yr old son was on MRC and LRM had more evidence now than when he was first awarded for the reason it states he got the award in the first place, but he was refused this time...I found out over the phone today. Not had the letter yet. Can I call today to ask for MR paperwork now?, and can I resubmit the same proof?

Hi I guess you can as a MR is really just asking for someone else to look at it. I have seen people submit them with nothing additional. When you call to do an MR they basically do the form over the phone, I you can print it yourself from the gov website. I’d call option 4 get them to tell you the statement of reasons and ask for it to be sent, they don’t send unless you request it. Then I would call option 2 which is the MR line to lodge it, that gets the clock ticking just give brief detail why you disagree with the decision then follow it up in writing in detail, they give you a month to submit evidence after the MR is submitted. Xx

still awaiting decision
called a few times told Diffrent things each time but last info was that I'm in Que 2 out of 3
