Waiting time for DLA Third Thread

Hi the Second thread ended because when it reaches a 1000 comments it will close I thought I would set this up so everyone can talk again

@Jneill2021 I told them on the 16th and my payment was due the 19th so I already missed my 'qualifying dates' so if your within your dates it should be in this payment but don't hold your breath xx

@Alk19 do you no if the child element would be added on the next uc payment ? I'm not due payment till the 23rd, uc is so confusing to me lol xx

Thank you. I'm getting anxious to call now but I guess there's nothing I can do to change it at this stage lol. Just got to find out.

@DeludedWench Fingers crossed for you, I can't tell you what a relief it is I called yesterday and it wasn't even with a dm called at 1 today and decision and payment already approved I wasn't expecting anything for another week lol
I fingers crossed you find out tomorrow I would defiantly give them a ring xx

@LovingLanz5 just over 9 weeks I rang yesterday and it wasn't even with a dm but decision made this morning so I'm taking it there working abit quicker now xx

@Jneill2021 put a note in your journal and tell them you want it backdating to when dla have awarded it from and just put you've only found out today Xx

Just an update I called and decision made today my son has been awared hrc I'm in shock so relieved aswell, my forms were recieved 28th sept xx

@Imitatingdory family fund are great the wait is long but I got mine recently they gave me a £300 gift card for learning space x

AKM001 do you mean an EHCP? If so, can you send that? Having one demonstrates a certain level of need. Have you applied for a Family Fund grant? You can have one to buy sensory toys. Caudwell children, Variety and Newlife may also be able to help with sensory toys.

@Blabbermouth93 Not yet the wait is just exhausting, yh I'm going g to ring them again just before they close today, just hoping there quick with a decision as I sent loads of paperwork so really hoping it speeds the process up xx

Arrrw! He sounds like an amazing little boy! I used to work with a guy who had pica and it was very intense, god bless xx
