Preschool daytrip advice needed

My son age 3yr 4mth is having assessments done in preschool due to what I think is asd like his brother. Anyway they have a daytrip soon and said I need to.go.to keep an eye on him. If I dont then he cant go!! I told them he wont be going then as he will not sit still for the full two hours for the show and I will be chasing him all over..meltdowns the lot! Is this the usual for a preschool to ask this of me? I understand why they asked me due to ratio. But just wondered if this was the normal.thing for them to ask? Kind of felt put on the spot. Thanks

It sounds like it is not the best trip idea for him.

I guess they are wondering if he might settle to it more if you go along. Rather than for ratios etc?

It sounds like declining is the best option

Not in the least bitter, it was a genuine question and advise would have followed had you answered it. You are the one who comes over a rather brittle and you are way too oversensitive.

How on earth can you imagine I am causing trouble? If there's any growing up to be done have a look in the mirror.

Bitter. Thats all I have to say to you. Get on with your own life stop causing trouble. And grow up

It wasn't advice it was a question. You chose not to answer.

Mythical kings......very silly advice.
The others...thankyou. I am keeping him home that day. The other parents are not going. They were not asked. Many thanks for the replies. X

Doesn't sound like he will get anything out of the trip so I would just keep him home that day and do somehing nice together.

If you can't keep him quiet how do you expect them to?

At that age all parents were expected to accompany offspring on trips locally. What ratio do they need and would you be happy the pre-school are able to support your child fully to get the best from this trip?
