chatrooms can also be much more cliquey than a forum and people can feel very slighted very quickly and like they don't belong, also there's no time to preview your post because the conversation moves so fast and slow typers can't really play

I haven't read any of the 52 chat threads so sorry if repeating things

(personally don't understand why people don't stick to msn if they want to do this)

DC - this is a forum not a chatroom. You can search past threads and catch up on conversations you have missed.

Chatrooms are live - if you aren't in it at the time of the conversation, you will miss what is said.
