Why does she have to hide his savings? Has it suddenly become means tested but they’ve kept it a secret?

It does make me laugh how the benefit bashers and haters know so much about all their neighbours and acquaintances finances, (and extended family members,) and exactly what benefits they receive. And how pretty much most of them are 'faking it' and have nothing wrong with them. 😆

No-one is telling anyone how much benefits, universal credit, or PIP they are getting, and they are definitely not telling them why they're getting it.

I don't think anyone said that there aren't fake PIP claims. There are, but not on the scale some suggest. It is odd though how the fakers are always boasters 🤔

PIP is not means tested, so you're either getting confused with UC, which does have a savings limit, or you're lacking information in which case you should check before posting.

Oh how dramatic. I know 4 people on PIP and not one is disabled in the true sense. All have anxiety or so they claim. One is son of acquaintance. Just passed driving test, bought 5 year old BMW, now private number plate and when having his latest review she had to hide his savings as he could only keep 6k in savings (think it's 6k). She told me last year he gets so much he doesn't know what to do with it. Admittedly doesn't smoke or drink, stays mostly at his gf's place. After most recent review they stopped his mobility, £200 per month and he's up in arms about it. Even been to MP about it. Makes my blood boil. I'm all for people getting help but in my experience it's grifters who game the system and the ones in genuine need get turned down.

Do I need to be on benefits to have an opinion? No I don't believe I do. People can talk about what they want, as has been confirmed.

Quick research tells me that 37% of PIP claimants get maximum amount or 194.60 per week, which is tax free. You probably don’t ever need an in-person assessment. You can potentially still receive these benefits if you leave the UK for EEA. AI can write the claim to ensure you score maximum points.

If you receive the enhanced rate of PIP then you can get motability payments which are 80 per week for car lease and no need to pay for any insurance or breakdown covered it’s all included. You also don’t need to drive you can nominate 2 people to drive on your behalf Then once you have pip you can get all the other benefits on top. Did you know it gets you a free cinema card for you and a companion?

This is a scandal and a total scam. it’s not a safety net, it’s a nanny state culture ripping off hard working tax payers.
