Android app issue - back button

Is anyone else having issues with the 'back' button on their phone booting them out of Mumsnet altogether when using the Android app? It normally takes me back to 'Active' but it's just started closing the app entirely. I'm on a Pixel 7, if that's relevant.

Ah! And as a pp says up thread, clearing the cache of the MN app has solved the problem. And my cache was 750mb!

Just came here to see if there was a thread about this, as its just started happening to me in the android app!
When on a thread, my phone back button closes the MN app and takes me to my phone home screen rather than back to the list of threads in active.

Without tempting fate, it seems to have sorted itself. I didn't change anything but it has randomly gone back to working normally.

I'm on android/Samsung internet (not the app).⁷

Hi everyone, apologies for the delayed update. We’re still investigating this and appreciate how frustrating it is.

If you’re able to, please let us know whether the problem also happens in a different browser or in a private/incognito tab. It would also help to know your device model, Android version and browser if you haven't already shared the information.

A short screen recording would be useful, as it may help us see the steps leading up to the issue and exactly how the page responds when Back is pressed. However, we appreciate there may be very little to see, so please don’t worry if you’re unable to provide one.

We haven’t yet been able to reproduce the problem on our test devices, but we’re continuing to investigate. Thank you for bearing with us.

Oddly, the back button seems to work from this thread, but no others.

I was just looking for some help with this!
Same here started over the last couple of days.
Android phone, mobile web site, Chrome browser.

Again, only the MN website 🙄

Same here. Back button doesn't work - samsung android. Frustrating and only applies to mumsnet

Yep, same problem here, on the website on my android phone.
Just press the back button and nothing happens at all.

Back button not working for me either, on my laptop and andriod phone, both using Chrome browser. I've cleared cache.
